Why can’t an xMOOC be more like a cMOOC ? | Connection not Content
https://gbl55.wordpress.com/2013/01/27/why-cant-an-xmooc-be-more-like-a-cmooc
A Blog for MOOCs and Other Animals. Why can’t an xMOOC be more like a cMOOC? I’ve joined the Edinburgh University Introduction to Philosophy. Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). This is an ‘xMOOC’, a term used to describe the ‘instructivist’ MOOCs that are usually given by existing colleges and universities from platforms such as Coursera. However, I would like to see xMOOCs become more learner centred and open like the earlier Connectivist MOOCs. CMOOCs are very peculiar beasts. 8216; by José Bogado.

Jim Stauffer's participant blog for MOOCs. My PLE concept map. Monday, October 25, 2010. I can assess my learning subjectively. Based on how successfully I feel I am grasping new concepts, and by the degree of satisfaction I get from the connections I’m making. I can assess my learning objectively. To all of the above I’d give a qualified “pretty well”. New connections are certainly the most exciting. Conviviality Corners in Second Life. Reflective Learning with Reflective Learners: Where do I fit?
http://reflectivelearners.blogspot.com/2010/05/where-do-i-fit.html
Reflective Learning with Reflective Learners. To arrive at the simplest truth requires years of contemplation.' Isaac Newton. Thursday, May 6, 2010. Where do I fit? Should I make posts alongside the participants or not? I much prefer this kind of image. But I sometimes wonder if it's too idealistic. I currently blog at http:/ wayupnorth.ca/blog. When I DO blog, that is . I may go months without a posting, then a class or special interest gets me going again.

Jim Stauffer's participant blog for MOOCs. My PLE concept map. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Doesn't it seem unlikely that a coke bottle could survive a drop of several thousand feet? Even though I haven't participated in DS106 in a long time, I still follow it part time. The MacGuffins got me hooked last night. I hadn't heard of MacGuffin before, so I spent a good half-hour reading examples in a Google search. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
