My Humble Journey: February 2012
http://myhumblejourney.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 6, 2012. Reunited and it Feels So Gooood. With what you may ask? Wow, who knew I would ever be excited to be huffing, puffing, and waddling along on a treadmill? I am though. I am so, so very excited. Remember the girl who hated running? The one who never had the desire, stamina, or confidence to run? I was so scared I would be that girl again after I had a baby. A girl full of excuses. A girl with 30 pounds to lose and a million reasons why I "couldn't" lose them. So I ran a mile. I'm c...

Monday, April 8, 2013. Taking the Pressure Off. You ever talk yourself out of a workout? Of course you do. Everyone does at some point or another. I used to be notorious for talking myself out of workouts on Mondays. Like there was some magnetic force that kept me out of my workout clothes and Nike's on Mondays. Like I would start melting if I laced up and ran or attended any sort of workout class. I mean gosh, after the relaxing weekend, Mondays are exhausting. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Top Release To...

My Humble Journey: Gasp! I worked out on a weekend!
http://myhumblejourney.blogspot.com/2012/08/gasp-i-worked-out-on-weekend.html
Monday, August 20, 2012. I worked out on a weekend! Friday was a rest day, and I very much enjoyed the break. I hung out at home, watched some TV with Baby Lo and made some peanut butter oatmeal cookies. The cookies were low fat.and they tasted low fat. Not impressed. Don't worry, I still ate them. The other thing I noticed was how much easier those 2 miles seemed after doing a strength circuit. I liken it to yoga stretches always being much easier at the end of the yoga session than the beginning. COUNT...

http://myhumblejourney.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 29, 2012. Thursdays are my weigh in day on weight watchers, and wouldn't ya know, I was right not to stress about the extra pounds showing up during TOM. They are now gone, and I'm happy to report I've lost 4.2 pounds since Sunday when I joined. Thank you weight watchers. Now I'm starting my first full week back on the program, and I'm excited to see how it goes. And what is this you may ask? This is just a little something I threw together last night for dinner. 1 Large Burrito Tortilla.

Friday, April 27, 2012. And the Survey Says. Total weight loss on Weight Watchers: 10.2 pounds since 3/22/12. I Double Heart Weight Watchers. Wasabi Peas are by far one of my favorite snacks. I like wasabi in general, but I eat a third of a cup for 3 points, and they are very much worth it. Crunchy, spicy, mmmm. So Mama Lo, you're awesome. Don't forget it. As I was training last night, I was thinking, "why do I do this to myself? Do I like running at all? And I saw the flyer with upcoming races. Scenario...

My Humble Journey: June 2012

Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Why I Haven't Been Working Out. My baby doesn't let me work out for long before he needs entertainment. My husband works supah dupah early so I can't do it in the morning (unless it is like 4:30am, not happening). It's too hot outside to go for walks. I work too late to get a workout in before I pick the baby up from day care. I don't feeeeel like it. I have been spending my free time watching Gossip Girl and Weeds. I'd rather go shopping. So here's the plan. 1 Quit work on time.

Monday, March 18, 2013. Hello my Long Lost Blogger Friends! Not because I'm not blogging, but because I'm busy, and I enjoy each aspect of my life right now. Life is chaotic. Like.cha-o-tic. I look up to the sky often and think, "God, why did I get the career opportunity that I aspired to reach in my list of life goals when my son was 9 months old? Just some of the benefits of His timing include understanding that:. 1 Family comes first. Always. No matter what. Much more than this matters. I'm only up to...

My Humble Journey: May 2013
http://myhumblejourney.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 6, 2013. Rock the Parkway and Trolley Run Recaps. Hello there world, happy 6th of May! I can't believe it is already May, the great season of allergies and many miles. I saw my last post titled, "Taking the Pressure Off" and found it funny how quickly things change. I had to really think about what my goals are and set a true plan to get there. Otherwise, I'm always going to be average (for me) in my running, and I'll have long streaks followed by the inevitable hiatus. The following Tuesday ...
