A Long Time Coming. August 13, 2016. Things have been very quiet here on the blog for the last several months. It’s been a conscious choice on my part. There were things I wanted to write about but it just wasn’t the right time to share them. Events are finally pushing forward now and the time has come for me to be able to share them. Scot and I are divorcing. And yet, here we are. And so all of this is why I haven’t been blogging. There was too much to say and too much chance I’d say the...July 1, 2016.

All The News That’s Fit To Print. April 27, 2015. It’s been a very busy couple of weeks around here. Vacation reentry almost did me in but I got through it and so did everyone else. We now have 3 more days of April and I might be jinxing myself by saying this but *whispers* so far, so good. (NO WHAMMIES! So yeah, I like my job. Scot is doing OK. Work has been stressful and spring storms have kicked his migraines into high gear. He’s had two rounds of Botox for the migraines with a third upc...All in all,...

As you can see, I was VERY MUCH NOT PLEASED. As I sat with the book a little longer, many other glaring problems with it began to seep in. The best summation I can give would be for you to read this (very long) Amazon review. Well, today I found that book. By a user named Windchimed. I clicked over to the story ...

May 20, 2015. Yesterday morning I had a parent-teacher conference with Jamie’s teacher and his speech therapist. They do conferences twice a year for the kindergartners so that parents have a sense of where their kids are as they head into first grade. Academically Jamie is doing great. He’s got his letters and letter sounds, he knows his sight words, he’s starting to read; he knows more numbers than required, shapes, colors, patterns, etc. Jamie’s current list of problems are:. When he gets frustrated h...

August 13, 2015. August 12, 2015. Closing in on 3 years ago, I blogged about needing help. Around the house and asking for it. That lasted for a a solid two weeks. Maybe. And then something happened, I have no idea what, and we all reverted to our old ways: Mom does it all, everyone else lives the life of Riley. By the way, I was astonished to see that post was dated 2012. Good gravy.). Welcome to the new world order, kids. So, we’ve been working at it. Week One went very well. The house is...I mentioned...
