Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. September 14, 2008. Pride vs. Humility. By Andrew Murray. Here is a quote from that book,. 8220;In the life of earnest Christians, of those who pursue and profess holiness, humility ought to be the chief mark of their uprightness.”. Pride is my greatest enemy. Humility is my greatest ally. (I Peter 5:5). Pride is comparing myself to others. Humility is comparing myself to Christ. (Philippians 2:1-11). Pride is c...

Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. November 4, 2008. No matter who wins today’s election:. Jesus is still the only answer for America. Our role in the world as students of Jesus will not change. The greatest agent for social reform in our country and the world will be by preaching the gospel, not by passing legislation. The tomb will still be empty. The cross, not politicians, will be our salvation. God is still in control. On November 5, 2008.

Thursday, we got out about 10am or so and stopped in a sidewalk cafe across from our hotel. Christian was our guide for the day. The cafe was great. I stand up, move back to give them room to get into their seats A and B, aka window and middle. This is when things get a little nutty. The man is about 75lbs lighter than this heavyweight, and about 2-3 inches shorter. But his attitude was big. Prettyyyy…prettttyyyy big! Here is the conversation:. 8217; … Still nothing from me. Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. October 1, 2008. Shaky times, unshakeable foundation! But, it is nice to remember. So, again, a great hymn moves my soul to a place of hope:. My hope is built on nothing less. Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame,. But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand,. All other ground is sinking sand;. All other ground is sinking sand. Laquo; Search Me, O God.

Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. November 10, 2008. It’s a give and take…more or less. Nobody has unlimited resources. The Bible is very clear that following Jesus is costly. The whole notion of cross-bearing discipleship involves giving up something to gain the Kingdom. I love Jim Elliot’s. What would my life look like if I really trusted the words, the way, and the will of Jesus, and shaped my life accordingly? I would pray more and worry less.

Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. October 14, 2008. Bogota: Day 2, Friday, 10/10/08. Friday was a very relaxing day. John and I slept in pretty late, then we headed out for breakfast and some shopping in the market for some souvenirs for family/friends. After that, we pretty much hung out in the hotel resting up for the night’s sessions. Below are a couple of cool video clips of the night. First is a spot-on Brittish accent that was hilarious!

Building a life of trust through the message: the message found in the words of JESUS CHRIST. 8220;The sight of a multitude puts fire into a preacher, which yet must arise from a desire of their profit, and not for his praise.”. 8220;In first century Palestine, the cross was an instrument of torture, a gallows; the honoring of anyone who hung on it was a scandal of the most profound kind. Yet, in a stunning reversal of human wisdom, the cross of death becomes the tree of life.”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
