http://kathsroom.blogspot.com/2013/03/doodle.html
Friday, 8 March 2013. Made a cute post about silly things to draw, and I was instantly inspired to take five minutes out of my day to do exactly that. I present to you:. Unfinished Drawing of a Fat Squirrel Drinking Tea. 8 March 2013 at 08:15. I like your drive to just go and draw, even if it is only for a couple of minutes! 17 February 2016 at 02:46. Sorry I just wanted to take a moment and say I HAVE THE EXACT SAME MAP ON MY DESK. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to Kath's Room! View my comp...

http://kathsroom.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 3 May 2014. Here are some photos of some of the sweet things I've been up to these past few months. Drinking green smoothies and reading light. Making my own pesto. Steaming almond milk with our new espresso machine to make tea lattes. Walking across the Don Valley on nice days. Playing Ticket to Ride. Absolutely crushing at Ticket to Ride. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to Kath's Room! I enjoy doing crafts and observing things that make me cheery. I hope you may enjoy these things too!

Kath's Room: October 2013
http://kathsroom.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 23 October 2013. Cake, Warm Clothes, and Bike Rides. Doesn't that look so yummy? Well, it was! And it's "healthy". (Healthy compared to usual cake). Now, it looks good in this photo, but I made the cake for an event and after transportation, it did not look so good. Oh well! I got the recipe from Fab Lunch. Her channel is still pretty small, so go over there and show her some love! I just love chocolate and strawberries. yum! I took a practice selfie! I was so proud of myself for doing such a ...

Kath's Room: December 2013
http://kathsroom.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 December 2013. One and a half cups (or so) of oats. Some fair trade dark chocolate. Handful of organic raw almonds, smushed and smashed a bit in a blender. Small handful of organic raw walnuts also crushed a bit in the blender. Small handful of organic dried sour cherries. A tablespoon of melted coconut oil. A tablespoon (or more) of REAL maple syrup. Adjust measurements as you need to. Maybe you like a lot of oats, maybe you don't! You get to choose, because you're making it! This was a very ...

Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Making a new T-shirt from old fabric. As you may or may not know, I (mostly*) gave up buying clothes. The main reasons for this are humanitarian and environmental. The clothes that I can afford are all made in Asia, probably in terrible working conditions. The environmental impact of these industries is also pretty butts, so if I can make a small difference by not contributing, I will! If I could afford all locally-made things, I would! Oh, and my aunt Lisa! It's really worn out, an...

Thursday, 25 June 2015. Wednesday, 24 June 2015. Running Tee to Cycling jersey DIY. Everyone knows that the best part about some running races are the technical tee you get with your race kit. Last year, the Sporting Life 10k in TO had the best t-shirts! I still wear mine every week. This year the shirts were not bad at all, but when I picked up my kit, they had only size M, which isn't so great because I'm an XS. Instead of crying about it, I decided to do something about it. And my backside too! Welcom...

Kath's Room: September 2014

Tuesday, 2 September 2014. How to make a skirt fit and How to hem pants. This skirt is too big! I "took in" what I needed to at the back while I was wearing the skirt, to ensure a proper fit. I pinned it in place. I measured how much I had pinned off, and then flipped the skirt inside out and re-pinned. I sewed the waistband at the new fit. I didn't go all the way down the skirt because of all the ruffles, but if there were no ruffles, I'd sew the whole thing! Ah, how it fits so well now! How to Hem Pants.
