Erica in Nairobi: August 2006
http://erica-in-nairobi.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Well, as I finish things up here at work and start to pack up all of my stuff, I’ve been thinking about the things I’m going to miss about Nairobi and the things that I’m really not going to miss about Nairobi. So. Things that I will miss about Nairobi. 2 The National Parks. What can I say? 4 Little things. Indian food, pineapple, mangoes, the chocolate cake at Nairobi Java House, just about everything at Trattoria, shopping in the markets, no homework and no TV (and there...

Erica in Nairobi: July 2006

Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Lions and cheetahs and wildebeests (oh my! The road to Masai Mara is, I think, the worst I’ve been on since I’ve been here (I feel like I say that every time I go on a new road). Seriously, this one was so bad, that when he could, our driver drove on the dirt next to the road, rather than on the road itself because of all of the potholes. OK, I could go on, but I think I’m going to let the photos speak for themselves. We saw three lions! This is us on the border between Kenya (M...

Erica in Nairobi: June 2006

Thursday, June 29, 2006. OK, so I hope that you’ve been able to tell from this blog that I’ve been having a great time here in Kenya. However, there are inevitably a few things that are annoying/frustrating about being in a new place, so here is a list of the few things that bug me about Nairobi/Kenya/the UN:. 1 The photograph of the dead seal pup just outside my office. Who goes out of her way to buy non-leather Birkenstocks! Who would never hunt a seal pup! Many of you know how much milk I drink, mostl...

Sunday, September 03, 2006. I'm back in the US (and very sleepy - door-to-door from my friend's house in Nairobi to my parents' house in Columbia took about 30 hours)! Stay tuned for one last blog entry next week. Posted by Erica at 3:35 AM. Friday, September 01, 2006. Erica in Nairobi: May 2006
http://erica-in-nairobi.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I'm here - both in Nairobi and at UNEP! People in Nairobi are really excited about the World Cup, so I think watching it here will be a lot of fun. Kenyan mosquitoes, unlike their friends in Switzerland, but very much like their friends in the US, love me. I'm getting eaten alive. Luckily, the mosquitoes - or mozzies, as they're more often called here - in Nairobi don't carry malaria, but man am I itchy. What Nairobi lacks in traffic lights it makes up for in crazy roundabouts.

Erica in Nairobi: October 2006

Sunday, October 01, 2006. OK, make that one last blog entry next. So this officially ends my first foray into the blogosphere. My real life is just too boring and too busy for a blog (as evidenced by the ridiculous amount of time it took me to get my "last post" posted). But I definitely hope that I have another adventure worth blogging about sometime soon . Posted by Erica at 10:01 PM. San Francisco, California, United States. View my complete profile.
