I don't even know where to start with this post because so much has been going on in the last two weeks. I guess the first thing I should touch on is the fact that I just got back from four magical days in Disney World! We are also approaching my absolute favorite time of year. Growing up in a small New England town, having a love for the fall is almost a give...

Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Deployment Positive Monday- Week 11. This past weekend was I think the first weekend of this entire deployment that I wan't traveling somewhere or didn't have anyone come down to visit me. I'll be honest, I tried really hard to make sure a weekend like that didn't happen while Andrew was gone, but gosh darn it, was it nice! Posted by Infantryman's Girl. It was a good trial run for us! I once read a quote in “The Guardian” by Nicholas Sparks which perfectly describes our relationship:. She was good for him and vice versa. Monday, October 15, 2012. The Most Magical Day. I suppose that it is time for my brief (and unintentional) hiatus from the blogging world to come to and end. To say that life over the last six months has been busy and exciting, would be nothing but an understatement. Two moves, a wedding, and a new job for both Andrew and myself is just the tip of the iceberg. The most fun I've ever had? Click here to view our Wedding Video! Posted by Infantryman's Girl. The Life of an Infantryman's Girl: March 2012
http://infantrymans-girl.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 8, 2012. I checked my blog this afternoon for the first time in a couple of days (I love how busy and back to normal life is lately- between visits to see Andrew, working, job searching, planning a wedding and getting ready for a move, blogging seems to be the thing being left behind) and was absolutely astonished when I saw that it had over 15,000 hits. That's pretty impressive, if I do say so myself, for a blog that has only been public for just over a year. Posted by Infantryman's Girl.

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Deployment Positive Monday- Week 3. Well I obviously don't have my life as organized as I did at this point during Andrew's first deployment. I don't know why I am having such a hard time getting to my blog on Mondays. I really am going to try from now-on though. Wait til next year, as we say in Boston. Basically anytime I can see my amazing husband's handsome face or hear his voice, my day is infinitely better! Posted by Infantryman's Girl. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Visiting An...

Monday, August 5, 2013. Deployment Positive Monday- Week 9. Well for a girl who just spent her first wedding anniversary with her husband fighting a war halfway around the world, I must say, I am in an excellent mood! I had absolutely, hands-down the best. Weekend possible, given the circumstances. I won't bore you with all of the details of the weekend, but in short: I got my breakfast comp'd at Wild Eggs because she told the waitress the situation, we went downtown for dinner and saw 7483728. We all know the Military is a culture in and of itself. With that comes their own language of sorts. and no. I'm not talking about the infinite supply of 4 letter words those guys always seem to use. Hopefully this list will help everyone out with a few of the most common abbreviations. 1LT- First Lieutenant ( Black Bar; O-2, usually attained 18 months after the start of active duty as a 2LT. 2-2 IN - Andrew’s Battalion ( said: two-two Infantry.
