My Adorable Trifecta: October 2013
http://adorabletrifecta.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 11, 2013. June Cats and Kittens. I really ought to catch up, but it's overwhelming how much there is! So here are some more overviews. In June our first foster litter of kittens was ready for adoption. It didn't take long for someone to show interest in Priscilla. She was the first kitten we had to give up. It was a bit heartbreaking, but she seemed to be going to a good home with another kitty friend. The other kittens finally had a breakthrough with Ginger! After a few weeks we brought ...

My Adorable Trifecta: June 2012
http://adorabletrifecta.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 26, 2012. End of the School Year. Mother's Day Tea in kindergarten. The kids sang and read and gave each mother a decorated bag with a growing marigold plant. Then we ate strawberries and brownies. Author's Day: At the end of the school year the kids get a chance to share the portfolios they have created through the year with a parent (or other available helper). Kate and Lizzie both wrote many of their stories about the kitties Ginger and Sierra. Written by Janelle Southern. Let's just ski...

My Adorable Trifecta: Provo Temple spring portraits... ish.
http://adorabletrifecta.blogspot.com/2013/08/provo-temple-spring-portraits-ish.html
Thursday, August 29, 2013. Provo Temple spring portraits. ish. The title says it all! Photos I took of the girls at the Provo, UT LDS temple in June. It was fun practice. We went there twice, the second time with some cousins who show up in a few pictures too. The fans were used to stave off heat stroke. It was hot out there! It's just not "portraits" unless we get a silly face. Written by Janelle Southern. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. May, Family Camp. May, The Cattery.

My Adorable Trifecta: November 2012
http://adorabletrifecta.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 9, 2012. Finishing Soccer and Continuing Dentistry. Just minutes before Sabrina's last soccer practice she was running on some asphalt and tripped in her cleats. She managed to tear up her knee pretty badly. Her last soccer game was the next day, but she had developed a fever so she missed out. Poor kid! Thankfully she healed up pretty quickly after that. I'm sure glad we had the opportunity to do soccer this fall! It was a great experience for all of us. Finally, here are a few pictures...

The Southern family: Colonial Days - July 2nd
http://southerns.blogspot.com/2011/08/colonial-days-july-2nd.html
Sunday, August 14, 2011. Colonial Days - July 2nd. It was really interesting to watch the cooper, baker, potter and the lady doing tatting. It's amazing the time and talent it takes to make all of those things - things we take for granted now. This lady tatted the most amazing purple lace. The cooper making a pail. He was selling his pails for over $100 but after watching him for a bit I can see why. It is very time intensive. The village potter. This was Dave's and the girls favorite one to watch. Simpl...

The Southern family: June 2011
http://southerns.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Ack - I am so behind on posts for our family journal. If i ever want to make this into a book for the girls I need to get it together! Hopefully over the next couple of weeks now that school is out I will be able to get these updated. At least I have the end of December and all of January done. Good thing we didn't do much in January! Dave and Melissa Southern. The kids loved it. :). We were lucky to have Nancy sitting with the kindergartners so we got this great video. First of...

My Adorable Trifecta: July 2012
http://adorabletrifecta.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime? Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green? Do you fish in a stream, or lazily dream on the banks as the clouds go by? Is that what you do? We've had so much fun this summer that I've barely taken time to record it. So here's a little peek:. The note on the fridge when the girls came home from their last day of school. We made it back to the Museum of Art and found the Children's Exhibit. Wow! That night we went to the co...

The Southern family: October 2010
http://southerns.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Tuesday night's sewing - much better! I actually sewed a super fandangeled pocket. Amazing - I know! And I learned how to put in a zipper. Not so fandangled - more mangled. But at least I know how to do if I ever need to. Which I probably wont. :). Wednesday was a blur of running errands to pick up items for our Thursday and Friday activities. Needless to say Target and Walmart got A LOT of our money this week! Sleeping with her natural hot water bottle. We made spiders out of s...

The Southern family: Annika's 1/2 birthday - June 29th
http://southerns.blogspot.com/2011/08/annikas-12-birthday-june-29th.html
Sunday, August 14, 2011. Annika's 1/2 birthday - June 29th. Annika is now officially 6 1/2 years old! We did go out to dinner to her favorite spot - IHOP and then we had the traditional Dippidee cake for her birthday treat. It's amazing how big she is getting. Before we know it she will be 8 and then 12, 16, 18 . scarey to think about! I am so grateful for Annika. She is a sweet, gentle girl that is an amazing big sister. I can't imagine what our family would be like without her! Dave and Melissa Southern.

The Southern family: Fairy Gardens - June 25th
http://southerns.blogspot.com/2011/07/fairy-gardens-june-25th.html
Sunday, July 24, 2011. Fairy Gardens - June 25th. Dave gave me a gift certificate to Linden Nursery for mother's day and after I had picked out the flowers and veggies that I wanted I still had some extra left over. The girls wanted something they could plant so they picked out what items they would want to put in their own fairy gardens - a fairy garden being a little garden where a fairy would want to live. :). Dave and Melissa Southern. July 24, 2011 at 2:47 PM. I love their little gardens. Sleeping B...
