Su aislamiento y la dureza de su entorno natural no han favorecido su colonización ni el que pudieran prosperar. Sin embargo, aparte de los cetáceos, de los que ya hablamos, sus costas sí son el hogar de unas cuantas especies de pinnípedos que las ocupan bien de forma permanente o bien como visitantes ocasionales. Martes, 9 de junio de 2009. Nos pregunta otra compa de viaje un par de cosas que está bien que todas y todos lo sepamos. ¿Es necesario llevar colchoneta? Y ¿vamos a poder cargar las baterías de cámaras y móviles? Vayamos con la primera. No, no es necesario, todos los alojamientos tienen colchón y algunos hasta cama. El otro día, en el listado de hoteles y albergues en el que vamos a estar, se me olvidó comentar que en Heimaey nos vamos a dividir en tres establecimientos, el Sunnuhóll , el Hreidrid y el Mamma, pero bueno, los tres esán muy cerca unos de otros. Gestern ist die Fähre pünktlich um 9:00 Uhr eingelaufen und wird heute um 20:00 Uhr wieder auslaufen. Das waren dann wieder drei Wochen in Island mit Spannung, Spaß und Abenteuer. Eine Überlegung ist es schon wert. Noch drei Tage bis die Fähre in Seyðisfjörður abfährt. Die letzten Pisten sind für dieses Jahr gefahren. Morgen geht es Richtung Osten um die letzten Tage in und um Seyðisfjörður zu verbringen. Island, Sonne und der Stoßdämpfer hält. Der Mechaniker meines Vertrauens. Von Süd nach Nord nach West.
