I used to try to stay clear of him. He scared me. I never imagined that he had a daughter who cared about him. Who would often drive around the area looking for him. In fact the eggplant portion I only just learned when trying to figure out how to do this. The tofu part of the dish I learned from Hiromi on NHK World TV.
