Monday, May 9, 2011. Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk.IXc Tam#60319 Part 2. I was pleasantly surprised with the hinges in the kit. They were easy to use and worked well. One bit of advice when working on them is to add a little bit of glue on the photo etch so it does not move in the joint and does not pop back out. Make sure you trim the photo etch so it does not bind in the joint. Labels: Model Airplane Weathering. Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk.IXc. Monday, May 2, 2011. Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk.IXc Tam#60319. Hobby-On Plastic Models Blog: November 2013

Sunday, November 3, 2013. Tamiya 1:32 F-14A Tomcat. Ever since TOP GUN, I have been in love with the Tomcat. The new release of Tamiya's updated kit gave me an excuse to build another cat. The kit appears to be pretty close to the older kit they have released nearly two decades ago. The biggest upgrade was for modern weaponry including laser guided bombs and a LANTIRN target pod. The decals for the kit is for the VF-154 Black Knights. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Big Selection, Low Price. Dragon 1/35 M4A2...

Sunday, November 4, 2012. Custom Made Decals, Lessons I’ve learned making my own decals By Todd Walton. You’ve probably seen catalogs that have inkjet decal paper advertised and thought “I wonder how difficult making my own decals would be? Unfortunately, making your own decals using an inkjet printer has some limitations which you should be aware of. First, the majority of inkjet printers will not print the color white. Those that do are very. I’d like to tell you a few more things to keep in mind...

Hobby-On Plastic Models Blog: 1/32 Messerschmitt BF-109G6

Sunday, October 14, 2012. The next and exhausting step was putting in the engine set from Verlinden. This was very challenging. The instructions were pretty hard to understand. I had to do most of the work looking at photos of the engine. For the engine itself, I found one on display at a museum. Getting the Engine to line up and fit took a ton of work. Adding details to the engine enhanced the look. February 11, 2016 at 6:28 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Big Selection, Low Price. F/A-18E Super...

Hobby On Trains: July 2012
http://hobby-on-trains.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. Everything old is new again (or something like that) by Todd Walton. I’m sure many model railroaders have at least one structure either on their layout or on a shelf which was built in your early days of the hobby. Before you had all the skills you have now, maybe it was a kit, maybe your first scratch building project. I’d like to tell you the story of my very first HO scratch built structure. So I added a Monroe Models unloading platform. (FIGURE 3). Labels: HO Scratch Built.

Hobby-On News: Final Part 3 Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk. IXc Build
http://hobby-on-blog.blogspot.com/2011/08/final-part-3-tamiya-132-spitfire-mk-ixc.html
Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Final Part 3 Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk. IXc Build. After the building was complete and the painting done, I added a wash with artist oils and thinner. Next came the decals. Most worked well and the system for the emblems under the wing great when using Micro Sol. The yellow leading edge decals were hard to work with as well as the tips of the propellers. I would advise painting with insignia yellow instead. Labels: Model Airplane Weathering. Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk.IXc. Kit Used: T...

Hobby-On Plastic Models Blog: Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams Tank
http://hobby-on-plastic-models.blogspot.com/2012/10/tamiya-135-m1a2-abrams-tank.html
Sunday, October 14, 2012. Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams Tank. For this build I am reviewing the Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams tank. Purchased from Hobby-On.com. I am mainly an aircraft builder and do not get to build many tanks. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the build was. With building tanks you spend less time on the color scheme and more time on the weathering. Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams Tank. February 22, 2013 at 9:56 AM.
