The font is situated near the front door because it is said to be the beginning of our life in the church. This tells the story of Mary mother of Jesus. Her life is shown in the stunning windows. The main colour is blue a colour which is associated with Mary. This is the Chapel beyond the high alter, this was a new build after World War 11.

He was the most important man in the area.When he died a special tomb was built in his honour and placed in the new extension of St Mary’s Church. We are really lucky we have blankets, jackets warm houses, etc. But have you ever thought about the people that came long ago, they probably didn't. Have those things to keep them warm. So what made them stay here? The early settlers were relying on fur trade to survive because they needed the fur to keep themselves warm. The reasons why they came to Canada. They were not allowed freedom. The government had control over they way of life.
