The kiwi flies again. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Shanghai - Day 2 - Saturday 21 June 2008. Then I had a quick look around Xintiandi (a touristy shikumen alley), and sat for quite a while with an iced tea, gaining the energy and strength for the trip back to the hotel on the metro. I had an early night with plans for taking it easy the next day. Posted by flying kiwi @ 12:03 AM. I'm not a fuzzy fruit. View my complete profile. Always take the weather with you. 0 sleeps to go. http://flying0kiwi.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
The kiwi flies again. Monday, February 28, 2005. Mislaid mountain lion, anyone? The kind of emails you get when you work in a research museum, as I do:. And, if there happens to be a mountain lion specimen (bones) on the bottom shelf, please return that too. The mountain lion is in a large curatorial box with a couple of trays in it. If anyone happens to see that lying (lioning) around, let me know. Posted by flying kiwi @ 4:12 PM. Monday morning - I'm with Garfield on this one. Sunday, February 27, 2005.

the kiwi flies again: February 2006
http://flying0kiwi.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
The kiwi flies again. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. 2 sleeps to go. Until my flying visit to New Zealand. I will be there for just 3 whole days - and that includes driving for 7 hours. So I will spend more time travelling than anything else - sigh. But I just couldn't take more time off work, what with it being only the second week of term. The event is a dear friend's wedding, and the bonus is that I get to see two of my sisters and my parents (and my sister's bump. I think I'm organised:. Well, the movie...

the kiwi flies again: artwork Wednesday
http://flying0kiwi.blogspot.com/2007/04/artwork-wednesday.html
The kiwi flies again. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. I recently did a mosaics night class (according to my sister. I'm a night class junkie). The next project was a plant pot. I think it's obvious what it's supposed to be, despite various classmates guessing things like kitten and rabbit. To be fair, this was before I'd added wings and feelers. The feelers are made from pipe cleaners by the way. Next projects - mosaicking my hearth and my fishpond. Posted by flying kiwi @ 6:40 AM. I'm not a fuzzy fruit.

The kiwi flies again. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Shanghai - Day 3 - Sunday 22 June. Today was largely a recovery day, mostly spent reading in my hotel room, and doing some work (and writing the previous blog posts). It happened to be a rainy day, so I didn't feel like I was missing out on too much by staying holed up. Posted by flying kiwi @ 6:52 AM. I'm not a fuzzy fruit. View my complete profile. Here be cute fluffy kitten photos. Continue reading at your own peril. I'm still undecided on a name, so I can't get him a name tag yet, so I can't let him outside yet in case he wanders - although he is microchipped and also has a bell on his collar to give the birds plenty of warning. Anyway, I think I've written enough now s...

Is the American system such a good thing? What happens to "regional and outer-suburban universities"? How could this possibly be good for regional Australia? Random dude sit...

Or Wee Free Men) at the V-Festival. They were ace and well worth the 6 hour drive each way. Have you ever bought anything totally impractical on a whim? Posted by flying kiwi @ 6:22 AM.
