Laquo; Week Nine, Thing Twenty-One. Week Nine, Thing Twenty-Three. Week Nine, Thing Twenty-Two. August 21, 2007. The downloadable audiobooks from OverDrive can’t be played on a Mac or iPod. Which is a bummer, because that’s what I have at home. I’m not able to download them to the PCs at work, either. I’d never used a Wiki before, and it turns out it’s really easy! I just did a minor edit to the Sandbox Wiki, but it was a lot of fun. I also added my blog to the list, which was also very easy to do. Hmm… maybe I’ll register with Wikipedia and share my extensive knowledge of, um, I dunno, the works of Edith Piaf or something. I immediately gravitated to the “Fun Stuff”, and after playing with Cocktail Builder. For awhile (its usefulness goes without saying) I moved onto One Sentence. The idea with that is to tell a story in one sentence, and some of them are quite clever. My favorite was “Not until I was mid-air did I realize just how far the pool is from the roof.”. The exercises were just enough to give you an introduction and were not too overwhelming.
