Oh noes, that girl's a geek?!: Road Video of the Week - Day Late Edition
http://hellion0.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-video-of-week-day-late-edition.html
Road Video of the Week - Day Late Edition. Pickings have been slim this week. However, one of my favorite road videographers released a new video this week. While I'm not normally a fan of "Highway Tour" type videos, this one is executed well enough. It helps that it was made by the same person who made The Most Awesome Road Vid Ever (TM). I didn't know I-229 was so substandard, but that double-decked viaduct kicks ass. Anyway, enjoy eluko79. S Highway Tour of St. Joseph, MO. Road Video of the Week.

I'm almost tempted to add "Ponies" to the blog's BGS. This is win. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And still, this is not the end of it. Still, there are miles to tread. Can you handle it? Yeah, I got bored, so I redesigned the blog again. I'll have to recenter the BGS banner, I know. Maybe someone could put it on a little sign bridge for me? Bonus points if you put some old-school lighting on said gantry. (The sign's retroreflective, by the way.). That's a Cali-style exit tab with a Louisiana highway shield! I happen to like. The California exit tabs, thank you very much! Links to this post. I'm almost tempted to add "Ponies" to the blog's BGS. This is win. Links to this post. He visits t...

NOLAcom: Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price indicted on perjury charge. Today must be the day of "about damn time," I swear. First, the news on the I-12 interchange, now this! Drunk Eddie's been indicted for something, in this case perjury, stemming from (alleged! False testimony given in a 2008 criminal trial of one of his buddies. A sergeant in the Mandeville Police Department was also indicted. Links to this post. LA 1088/I-12 interchange contract to be awarded this month. Back in February because of the la...

Oh noes, that girl's a geek?!: Collateral Damage: A Specialty of the Feds
http://hellion0.blogspot.com/2012/01/collateral-damage-specialty-of-feds.html
Collateral Damage: A Specialty of the Feds. As we no doubt all know by now, the Feds took down Megaupload. Now, this may mean that a source of widespread "piracy" has gone dark, and the Feds' paymasters at the RIAA and MPAA are likely rejoicing a little about that. Just a little, though, considering they brought the fury of Anonymous. The thing is, Megaupload had legitimate uses as well, uses that a lot of people are reconsidering. One such thing? Yes, the promise of the vaunted Cloud. And in the end, th...

Oh noes, that girl's a geek?!: Road Video of the Week - Inaugural Edition
http://hellion0.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-video-of-week-inaugural-edition.html
Road Video of the Week - Inaugural Edition. I guess I should post something road-related on here, huh? With all the activist and political posts here, I'm worried I might scare off both of my readers. So, one of my passions is road videos. However, since I don't get to go out as often as I like with gas prices being so high, and since I don't have a video camera of my own, I watch the videos of others. As an aside, I've widened the blog slightly to better accommodate YouTube vids. Sadly, that means t...

Oh noes, that girl's a geek?!: August 2011
http://hellion0.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Ok, that's done. Looks like I was only able to salvage a few pictures from last year's Idaho trip, and an entire camera. Is still missing with many more of the I-84 shots, along with the I-15/84 multiplex shots. Damn, damn, damn. I hope it's around here, because I don't envision myself heading back that way during my lifetime. 56 shots eastbound from just west of Boise, Idaho to the eastern terminus in Echo, UT. Added 13 shots along eastbound in and near Baton Rouge. Links to this post. Links to this post.

I just haven't been able to do much traveling lately. Shoestring budget and all that. But having a friend come in for Mardi Gras changed that. A little. Anyways, UPD*TE time. 33 new photos of I-10 eastbound and westbound in Metairie and Kenner, LA, between Causeway Boulevard and the MSY exit (Exits 228 to 223B). 7 new photos, updated coverage of southbound, including the new ramp to I-10. 15 pictures of the roadways within Louis Armstrong International Airport. Yet another minor upd*te. I made it back to New Orleans again, and as usual, the camera hitched a ride, falling apart as it is. 19 new shots of eastbound between the 610 split and the North Claiborne Avenue exit.
