Norwegian Icelandic cook off. Wednesday, December 2, 2009. So December is here and time to make some Christmas cookies. We start out with Súkkulaðibitakökur or Chocolate chip cookies. The recipe is as follows and comes from Óli's grandmother. 150 gr. Butter or 2/3rds of a cup. 1/2 cup Brown Sugar. 1 tea spoon Vanilla drops. 1 1/2 cup Flour. 1/2 tea spoon Natron. 1/2 tea spoon Salt. 1/2 cup chopped Almonds or Hazelnuts (I prefer Hazelnuts). 1 1/4 cup Chocolate. Add the eggs and drops.

Norwegian Icelandic cook off. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Today we have baked sjakkruter, or chezz cookies. These cookies we used to make at home back in the days. The recipe is found on the internet, while we are waiting to find grandmothers authentic one. 3 tablespoons of cocoa. 11/2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar. Now put these rolls in a cold place for a couple of hours. Spread them on as many cooking plates you need (about four for this recipe), and cook them at 200° for 8 min. View my complete profile.

I am working on it. They will be put up on youtube before the week is out at www.vargur.com. So it´s been working out allright. I´ll try to put up all the films I worked on. I was lucky to get the sparks position (setting up lights and such). The director, Luke Biggins. So I uploaded a school project. It wasn´t my own but I acted in it and was in charge of the lighting. But for now a few quick updates since film school. I graduated with cinematography as a specialty. You can see my final project here. We had one shooting day in Chernobyl. This saturday we shot our first assignment, a simple action with no dialogue that takes place around a bench. It took two hours to shoot and we start editing today. Norwegian Icelandic cook off. Saturday, December 5, 2009. Salad with eggs and potatoes. Sometimes, when you eat too much of the christmas cookies you have made, it is time to toss a salad. This time we have made a salad of what we have lying around. Since salad is sometimes all about using the type of greens you like, we will only write the recipe for the french dressing that we have used for this. 4 tablespoons of good virgin olive oil. 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar. 1 teaspoon of honey.
