Various Stages of Undressed. Spiritual Nudity and other Musing from Life. Sunday, January 29, 2012. 0 to 13.1: What I learned from my first Half Marathon. On January 29, 2012 I ran my first Half Marathon, the ING in Miami as a member of Team World Vision. I've never been a "runner". I prefer real sports where there is a decisive winner.not to mention that I am not genetically inclined to running long distances. Here is what I learned from the race:. If you're going to run a race, join a team. The race it...

http://wofford1.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Various Stages of Undressed. Spiritual Nudity and other Musing from Life. Thursday, October 8, 2009. Tuesday night we decided to take what we've been talking about at "fuel" and put it into practice. We've been going over the 4 c's that we stand for as a bcm:. Students to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Community for life change. That all students matter to God. With the local church. We took ice cream sandwiches and popsicles to one of the front of the freshman dorms. It wound up being a great thing.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013. A Christian Response to Natural Disaster. In the immediate aftermath, social media like Facebook and Twitter began to explode with expressions of prayer for the victims and survivors. Thousands have used these and other social media to offer expressions of comfort, love, hope and prayer to God. This is good. How are Christian believers to react and respond to such posts? How are we to answer the critics who blame God for heartache on such a large scale? Third, there will be a tim...

Johnny's Blog: November 2011
http://johnnyhutchison.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 28, 2011. Through the years I have used a number of different plans for my personal Bible reading. Right now I am reading through "Acts and the Epistles," a plan that comes with the YouVersion Bible app on my iPhone. Yep, I often do my personal Bible reading on my iPhone. What a great time to be alive. I have the entire Bible with me everywhere I go through the technology of a smart phone. Check your smart phone. Don't have a smart phone? But to choose a plan. Monday, August 22, 2011. It's Monday morning and I am thinking about the future of HDBC. Two weeks ago we launched. The One More Project. Which involved a change in our Sunday morning schedule which will allow us to expand our small group ministry. I am thinking about the possibility of a new children's ministry building. Our children's ministries are growing at a rapid pace and we need to provide adequate space for these ministries. I am thinking about an overhaul of our sound system in the wors...I am ...

Wednesday, November 27, 2013. The scene is sweet, but incomplete. Some are not yet here. Others will not be able to come at all. But the knowledge that they are thinking of us even while we think of them makes it easier. I pray for God to keep them safe, content and blessed while they celebrate Thanksgiving without us. Thank you, God. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Highland Drive Baptist Church. Covenant Eyes Internet Accountability. Focus on the Family. Follow me on Twitter.

Friday, February 22, 2013. Say it Ain't So, Tim! In recent weeks there have been calls for Tebow to cancel his plans to speak in that church because of Jeffress "controversial" teaching and stances on the issues mentioned above. Greg Doyel of CBS Sports wrote the following. So much for tolerance! The language of that tweet does not make me feel better about his decision. He mentioned "new information" that came to his attention. That raises the question, "what new information? He certainly was not unawar...

Johnny's Blog: The Boy Who Cried Wolf
http://johnnyhutchison.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-boy-who-cried-wolf.html
Wednesday, April 17, 2013. The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Over the years, believers have repeatedly been warned about supposedly new FCC rulings which would do all kinds of things which Christians would certainly want to oppose. In response, many believers have written letters, made phone calls, sent emails, etc., in response to the supposed new ruling. In most cases the information was inaccurate. Someone cried wolf, when no wolf was present. Now, to the point. Go to http:/ www.fcc.gov/. Focus on the Family.
