Monday, March 18, 2013. Saturday, March 16, 2013. Starting the New Year Off Right. I would much rather celebrate the New Year like I did as a missionary in Korea than as most Americans do. We'd wake up January 1st before dawn, hike to the top of the nearest hill/mountain and watch the first sunrise of the year. In that spirit, when Mikele and her boyfriend Josh came to see us on the 1st of January, we took them to the Los Angeles foothills and hiked to see the Hollywood sign up close. So fun! I love this...

With school starting soon, and cousins dying to see each other, we wanted to get together for a fun adventure. We decided on the LA zoo. Lots of fun. Sunday, February 3, 2013. We were very lucky to have Grandma Redford back from Europe to come and spend Christmas with us before heading home to Canada. We hosted a turkey dinner for Christmas eve, and invited a few friends from our ward to join us. LaRon Gneiting took all of these pictures and gave them to us as a thank you for dinner. Thursday, August 30, 2012. I'm still not certain how a year can go by so quickly. We celebrated Paige's 1st birthday this past weekend. August 25, 2011. August 26, 2012. We spent a fun and exhausting day at the Zoo. Paige hated the carousel, or rather, she hated sitting on the animal when it was moving up and down. Saturday, August 31, 2013. About our cute girl:. She's 27 lbs and almost 34 inches tall. She's turned into a chatter box, and says all kinds of things. She often uses please, which is super cute and makes me happy that she is polite. Mo peas" is a favorite expression when she is having fun and wants to continue something, or do it again. She still loves yogurt and eats it almost every morning. She is fearless, and has become a very adept climber. She walks, and gallops, and dances on the balls of her feet.

Monday, August 26, 2013. The first day of school- ever. Zoey has started at Nora Sterry Elementary School's pre-K program. She goes to class 5 days a week from 8am to 10:35pm I was very, very sad to realize school was starting so soon (August 12th! And it was much harder emotionally than I thought it would be. She can take about 5 or 6 steps before falling forward into a full body splat. Crawling is much faster at this point, and this girl can move quickly. He is still working with the young men, but has moved from the presidency of the young men's to being the scout master.
