Http:/ jessicaclare.wordpress.com/. Being that I’m all knocked up and stuff, I sometimes I get cravings. STRONG cravings. Today, I woke up from a nap (ahh…the sweet bliss of a nap) craving potato soup. I love a good potato soup and the weather has been perfect for it (cool and rainy). I’ve never actually made potato soup, though, so I had to find a recipe. I found this. 1 package of bacon. 2 Tbsp bacon grease (reserved from frying bacon). 3 cups chicken stock. 5 green onions, chopped. I found this recipe...
Soooooo…. | Halfway Gourmet
https://halfwaygourmet.wordpress.com/2008/11/07/soooooo
I got a little sidetracked. I’m sorry about that, but I’m back with a list of recipes I need to blog about! I’m going to try to mix in some Thanksgiving favorites this month too, plus we’ll have a little discussion about brining a turkey. So, for my first recipe back from my break, I’d like to give you….drumroll please….Chicken Enchiladas. Ok, so that probably isn’t the grand gourmet dish you were expecting, right? 1 package of boneless skinless chicken thighs, plus 1-2 boneless skinless breasts. Bake at...

Slow cooker pulled pork. Both Hubby and I LOVE pulled pork sandwiches. I like mine memphis style with coleslaw on top and he likes his plain. Although this is not a traditional “barbequed” pulled pork, its yummy and ridiculously easy. I served it with waffle fries (frozen. I have a toddler. I like convenience). Slow Cooker pulled pork. 2 cans root beer. 1 can cherry soda. 2 lb pork tenderloin. The Omnivore’s Hundred. I came across this list at a blog I recently started reading, Reservations Not Required.
Italian Stuffed Peppers | Halfway Gourmet
https://halfwaygourmet.wordpress.com/2008/08/30/italian-stuffed-peppers
Stuffed peppers were a dinner staple in my house growing up. They are an easy meal that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients and gets everything (veggie, starch and protein) all in one delicious package. When I started making them, hubby complained that they needed something else…like CHEESE (hey, we live in Wisconsin! I modified my mom’s recipe a little to come up with this and they are delicious and easy! 5-6 bell peppers (I use yellow, you can use whatever you like). 1 lb ground beef. 1 c cooked rice.

Moooo-ved Back Home: O Christmas Tree
http://moooovedbackhome.blogspot.com/2010/12/o-christmas-tree.html
After my Steamboat Springs Adventure, I decided to moooove back home to the good 'ol cow state Wisconsin. I'm adjusting to life here, and I love living in Madison. So. I'm back! Wednesday, December 1, 2010. It's December 1st, and I have, therefore, lifted the Christmas music ban. We put up the tree, and lights on the deck. I subjected the furry children to wearing their sweaters. Insert death stares. And now it's past my bed time. Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.3. December 12, 2010 at 9:11 AM. My Lame...

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity. Voltaire. Sunday, October 31, 2010. I hate the Fall. I think most people up here would say that fall is their favorite season, what with all the beautiful colors and mild weather, and I concede them the point, but there is one thing that trumps all others when talking about autumn. I get sick. All the time. And I hate it. The few times were we have put together a nice meal, we have gone the...

The Boivin Family @ Halfwaybrook. Sunday, January 10, 2010. I wish I had a picture of it, two large bull moose licking our vehicles clean of the road salt in the middle of the Maine woods. Twenty people in less than 2 hours on a very cold Saturday. Our youngest customer was 4 years old! Saturday, January 2, 2010.
