In various guises the GFA has been producing fencers since the 1970's. Many of our fencers have represented both Guernsey and Great Britain at international level. The club has regular training sessions, catering for fencers of all types. Marton is the épée coach at the Guernsey Fencing Academy. He is a Hungarian international, previously achieving quarter final placings at Junior World Cups and competed for Hungary at the Cadet World Championships. In Guernsey by HYGGE.

The Guernsey Fencing Academy offers training groups to suit all ages, fencers are also able to partake in one to one lessons in order to advance their skills. As well as this the academy also offers a 7 week beginners course. See below for more details. Beginners courses are a fun introduction to fencing and will teach you the basic skills needed on the path to becoming an excellent fencer. Courses last 7 weeks, with sessions every Friday from 7 - 9pm. One to One Lessons. Years 1, 2 and 3. Years 4 to 8.
