Grass Roots Quilting: Work Shop with Humble Quilts
http://grassrootsquilting.blogspot.com/2015/05/work-shop-with-humble-quilts.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. Work Shop with Humble Quilts. Our local guild had the pleasure of Lori DeJ from Humble Quilts come spend the day for a workshop and a trunk show, Quilts thru the Seasons. A lot of cutting for this project, but since I had lots of little blocks in a basket, it wasn't too much to get ready. I focused on the 16 patch fabrics, made a few blocks at home and then grabbed the cheddar for the corners and the blue for the zigzag. The center was made by making four patches and then using 4 - ...
Grass Roots Quilting: February 2015
http://grassrootsquilting.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Out of the Box. The days just seem to fly by right now. My gal pal and I headed out for a few days of sewing, and I made some great headway on projects that had been hibernating in boxes for the past while. First thing was to spread out over as many tables as possible, and then get busy. JT2 was the first project on my list. I had put it away while the patterns were still being published, so I truly had no idea what mess I had going on. Friday, February 13, 2015. Wow, it's Val...
Grass Roots Quilting: Lots of Little Pieces
http://grassrootsquilting.blogspot.com/2015/05/lots-of-little-pieces.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Lots of Little Pieces. I am 1/2 way through the second 6 month series of Kim Diehl Simple What Not's. This has been a lesson of perseverance for me. I'm not a "small block" kind of quilter, I've been ready to turn a 16 block piece into a 4 block piece, but I have to say, these pieces are STINKIN' CUTE! When I need 1/2 sq tri's that finish at 1", trimming down is the only way for me to work. Lots of little shavings gives me lots of accurate blocks. I'm really working on making these...

Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail. Home of Suzi Parron, author with Donna Sue Groves of 'Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement.'. Sunday, May 4, 2014. Glen had teased me for several months about the fact that I had booked a couple of stops in Minnesota in April. I just knew it would be fine.Well . . . it was. Sort of. That was the scene in Rogers, MN where we stopped off to try to get a repair done on the bus. Eight or so inches of snow- more than I have ever seen! A week or so later, ...

Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail. Home of Suzi Parron, author with Donna Sue Groves of 'Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement.'. Friday, April 3, 2015. We made it through the cold. But it was tough! Eight inches of snow in North Carolina! Yes, it was February- to be expected! We stayed inside all cozy, as I was hard at work on Book Two. It is coming along well. Sigh When you enter a parking garage with the kayak racks up, damage will ensue. Yep. Love quilts in more subtle colors. ...
