Tree to Sea: Back to building...and surfing

http://www.grainsurf.com/2006/06/back-to-buildingand-surfing.html

A blog and forum dedicated to beautiful, sustainably-built wooden surfboards and the characters that build them. Friday, June 02, 2006. Back to building.and surfing. After a few bumps, we've finally come to rest. For me, building (and surfing) these wooden works of art has always been a labor of love. So I'm psyched to announce the new home for this blog and the "Tree to Sea" Wooden Surfboard Builders Forum. I'll answer any questions I can. Posted by Rich Blundell at 10:22 PM. Tree to Sea: Striper Update

http://www.grainsurf.com/2006/06/striper-update.html

A blog and forum dedicated to beautiful, sustainably-built wooden surfboards and the characters that build them. Sunday, June 11, 2006. Finally warm enough (and dry enough) to get to laminating the deck of the MB Striper. Optimally it would be 80 degrees and very low humidity. Otherwise I risk making the finish cloudy. The first step is to cut the glass cloth to size. Next, pour out the epoxy mixture onto the surface and gently squegee it out, working it to saturate the cloth. View my complete profile.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Spent a bit of time working on the nose. Monday, December 3, 2007. My personal hero "Thomas Cambell" has a new movie coming out called "The Present". Why is this relevant, because you can spot the wood fish cameo in this trailer, 2:47. I spent a bit of time on sunday working on the tail, heres a few shots. This is a big learning process, as each mistake i make, i have go back and fix on the otherside. It is essential for consistantly marking out the rails. Fish 'n' Log - NZ.
