University of New Mexico. What is the GK-12 Program? This is a three-year program funded by the National Science Foundation. Physics graduate students (Masters and PhD students) and advanced undergraduates from UNM receive fellowships to work 10 hours per week at a school in the West Mesa Cluster. The purpose of the program is to provide additional resources to schools to contribute to the improvement of science and math instruction. What do the graduate Fellows do?
