GirlDiver Scuba Instruction: November 2009
http://gdinstruction.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Relaxation Pose #1 - Outside of PADI Teaching Standards? Ok, I admit it. I've gone beyond the normal scope of what's taught in the PADI Open Water Certification course. And I feel terrible. But I did it. I have added skills, not required or even TAUGHT by PADI to my Open Water Scuba Classes. Watch out PADI Instructors, this may become a required skill if that happens. :). GD1wknd: Winter Scuba Classes on the Weekends
http://padiscubaweekend.blogspot.com/2009/11/winter-classes-on-weekends.html
Winter Scuba Classes on the Weekends. Nov 17, 2009. A typical PADI Open Water course holds four dives over the course of two days. Or.two dives per day. But in typical GirlDiver fashion, we've asked WHY? Oh, we're not talking about breaking standards and completing all four dives in one day.that would wear US out. We've looked at the comfort level of students doing surface intervals in sub-fifty degree temperatures in wetsuits and decided.it's just not fun. Posted by GirlDiver at 5:54 AM. Time sensitivit...

GirlDiver: The First Day of Being a BagLady
http://primagirldiver.blogspot.com/2010/01/first-day-of-being-baglady.html
The First Day of Being a BagLady. Labels: environmental awareness; eco blue. I believe in authenticity. And sometimes, I fall short. Sometimes I KNOW the right thing to do, will tell others how to do it, yet I'm not living the part myself. This year, I'm trying to become more responsible on a whole lot of fronts, and the environmental front is one of them. Today is the day I start to answer, "Um.that's ok. I brought mine.". GirlDiver: Life Lesson #2
http://primagirldiver.blogspot.com/2009/11/life-lesson-2.html
There is a rhythm to the water, and the thickness of the body slows every movement, whether our breathing, our reach, our kick or vision. If we try to overpower the water, we become tired. Overexerted. We don't find the ease others speak of. If we move as the water allows us, we slow down. It's not the same timing as Terra time, but we are no longer on Terra. We are in another world, and when in that world, we must adapt to the culture. Post a comment . Add to del.icio.us. Related Posts by Categories.
