Cow Parsley in Hedgerows | Garden Posts
http://www.gardenposts.co.uk/cow-parsley-hedgerows
Sunflower in the Sunshine. Cow Parsley in Hedgerows. Middot; Add Comment. Cow Parsley – Anthriscus Sylvestris. Cow Parsley growing in the dappled sunshine in the hedgerows of England at this time of year is as good as any cultivated flower in my opinion. Tagged with →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Sunflower in the Sunshine. Mayflies on the River Thames. Middot; Add Comment. Mayflies along the River Thames. On a stroll along the River Thames between Shiplake and Wargrave today, the mayflies were out in force. Doing thier thing of hovering up, dropping back down and repeating non stop, no doubt in search of a mate to complete their short life cycle. Tagged with →. Bull; river thames. Agonum Marginatum Beetle | Garden Posts
http://www.gardenposts.co.uk/agonum-marginatum-beetle
Sunflower in the Sunshine. Beetle – Donacia Genus (see comment below). We saw this large golden brown beetle sat on some cow parsley alongside the River Thames yesterday. I’m not entirely sure which particular species it is but I am guessing it’s a Agonum Marginatum beetle. Edit: I have subsequent been informed (see comments below) it’s more likely to be one of the Donacia genus as Agonum are ground runners. Tagged with →. 16 April 2015 at 5:29 am. This looks to be one of the Donacia genus. Me and 2 Veg.

Growing Tomatillo from James Wong's Homegrown Revolution
http://www.gardenposts.co.uk/growing-tomatillo
Sunflower in the Sunshine. Tomatillio – Physalis Philadelphica. Last year I had some great results growing cucamelon. Which were seeds from the James Wong’s Homegrown Revolution seed collection, so I thought I would try some more of his unusual seeds this year. This is a first for me – growing Tomatillo. I sowed the seeds in individual seed pods using John Innes seed compost and popped them in a heated propagator in the greenhouse. Tagged with →. 18 April 2015 at 10:41 am. 29 April 2015 at 11:55 am.

Me and 2 Veg. Attempting to be green and growing-my-own. Laquo; Garlic – first harvest. Onions – first harvest. Posted July 1, 2012 by Donna in veggies. My “Radar”. Onions had started to flop over and as they were getting quite large, and we had a dry afternoon today, I dug them up. They are of varying sizes but all big enough for me to be happy with. I’d say they were all at least as big as a tennis ball. Radar onions and Vallelado garlic 1.7.12. Broad beans and rainbow chard 1.7.12. Thanks Flighty....

Not quite ready, it hasn’t divided into cloves yet, but perfectly usable. I just couldn’t wait any longer, and in my haste I put the fork straight through the bulb as I dug it out! I cut the leaves off as t was the first one and a tester but the rest I will let dry out and then plait them together. 2 responses to this post.
