At Home With Herbie: December 2011
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Not a festive pic - Herbie has another histiocytoma, under his chin this time. He also has a new blanket, an early Christmas present. Underneath his bottom at the moment is the foil that I'd baked some chicken in. Holly would like it, even though he's licked it clean, but as he's lying on it, there's no chance she'll get it tonight. Roll on Christmas. Lots and lots of foil. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At Home With Herbie: April 2011
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Sunday, April 17, 2011. His Royal Herbiness has just celebrated his eleventh birthday. Unlike hobbits, he won't live to see his eleventy-first birthday, but I'm pretty happy with eleven. The Cortaflex HA (with hyaluronic acid) seems to have given him a bit more flexibility, and he's no longer pushing his hips into my hands, saying "Rub my rear", so I'm assuming it's doing something. Happy Birthday, old white-faced dog. Monday, April 04, 2011.

At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. A Dozen Years Old. Herbie was 12 on Monday! I never thought I'd see the day - but we did. His lymph nodes are big, he's getting over a touch of conjunctivitis, and his back end is weakening, but he's still here, and still springs to life whenever he sees a cat. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At Home With Herbie: September 2011
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. And Herbie is his usual lively self. We're seeing out the tail end of Hurricane Katia. It's not often we get hurricanes here, but this one has taken down a few power lines. I have a wind-up radio, and a wind-up LED light, and today my hands are sore from all the handle-turning. Tomorrow I'm going out to buy a tiny battery-powered radio. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Help Your Dog Fight Cancer. Robin's Canine Cancer Links.

At Home With Herbie: Phew...
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2011/10/phew.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Saturday, October 01, 2011. It's a scorcher, 27 degrees centigrade. This is the weirdest weather ever. Or else a divine punishment for buying three months worth of toilet paper just in case the snows come early this year. I might starve, but I will not run out of toilet paper in a hurry. The dogs begged for a walk at lunchtime, so I took them to the arboretum. After a hundred yards, they both turned to me with a "Remind me why we came here? Current s...

At Home With Herbie: June 2011
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Thursday, June 09, 2011. I'm not focusing on anything much this week. My sister's not been well, so I'm a bit preoccupied. Herbie's had something wrong too, a digestive upset, and although he's over it, he's still fragile. Instead I've been reading the Tiny House Blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At Home With Herbie: May 2012
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Tuesday, May 08, 2012. The conjunctivitis that wasn't clearing up now seems to be glaucoma. This isn't good. Herbie seems to be trying to teach me still more about illness. I wish he'd ease up a little. If the eye-drops don't work, he might need to have his eye removed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At Home With Herbie: July 2013
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Tuesday, July 02, 2013. RIP My Golden Angel. He survived for six years with lymphoma, and over a year with severe glaucoma. He was never cured of cancer, but died with it rather than of it. He was almost thirteen and a quarter, which is a good age for a greyhound. He taught me so much, and I know. At Home With Herbie: January 2013
http://houndshome.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
At Home With Herbie. Day-to-day life with a greyhound. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Twelve and Three Quarters. Holly is her usual bouncy self, and the snow brings out her inner husky. She would like to tow me down the street, and enjoys running along, nose down, inhaling snow as she goes, then sneezing every few steps because her nose is full of snow. If only I could capture this on video! Anyway, new year, same old us - for as long as it lasts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Twelve and Three Quarters.
