http://gathering-loose-threads.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 14, 2015. Saturday, February 7, 2015. Do you remember when you needed to have a 'party piece' to be social adept? That little song or poem or other performance piece you trotted out at a house party. After work today, I spent an hour of what was left of the afternoon in one of my favourite rainy day activities (Yes, a rainy day in February) - browsing through the used book stalls in thrift stores. Asked the woman in line behind me. Carnation Milk's the best in the land,. First time tha...

Fiber Fun And Me. Sharing my love of knitting, crochet, spinning and other things. Friday, April 24, 2015. Yes, It Is Late April, and Yes, It Is Spring.BUT. It is snowing again, here in Lake Como, PA. I kid you not. There is only one thing you can do when Winter hangs on and refuses to give up the ghost, and that keep the hands busy. And so that is what I did. Also, recently off the needles,. A while back I purchased 2 very large skeins of Bernat Baby Soft, and I managed to get three complete baby outfit...

Fiber Fun And Me. Sharing my love of knitting, crochet, spinning and other things. Saturday, March 29, 2014. March Events And FO's. When is it ever going to end? And whatever happened to that little diddy about March. "In like a Lion, out like a Lamb." Lamb my a! I don't call this going out mildly, or peacefully or anything like it. And now it's planning to ruin the start of April as well. There is one flower at the top, and two at the bottom. Are they beautiful, or what? The first hat I made has the gre...

http://fiberfunandme.blogspot.com/2015/05/spring-is-busting-out-all-over-hooray.html
Fiber Fun And Me. Sharing my love of knitting, crochet, spinning and other things. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Spring Is Busting Out All Over. Hooray! Finally, more than just the Daffodils are blooming here in Lake Como. Actually, since the weather has been exceptionally warm for this early in May, everything has popped open very quickly, and we went from tiny buds to fully formed leaves in about 24 hours, and the same with the flowering shrubs and trees. My Japanese Red Maple is looking really good too. ...

Fiber Fun And Me: Idle Hands are the Devil's Workshop......................
http://fiberfunandme.blogspot.com/2015/05/idle-hands-are-devils-workshop.html
Fiber Fun And Me. Sharing my love of knitting, crochet, spinning and other things. Friday, May 8, 2015. Idle Hands are the Devil's Workshop. First, again using the pattern from Attic 24 blog. This is a close up, and I think the colored yarn worked up really well with this pattern. At first, Sascha was wary of it, and wanted nothing to do with it. But after a while, after a few hours of inspection, making sure it was "safe," it was tested, and found to be rather nice. Sascha - this morning. Congratulation...

Saturday, January 24, 2015. We've been home a week. Back to snow and work and play and regular life. I finally downloaded some photos from my phone ( my phone! Gathering Loose Threads: September 2014
http://gathering-loose-threads.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 20, 2014. Got back from my little jaunt to southern Alberta, visiting friends and family. Places to go, people to. The yard is looking lovely these days, intense colour before the frost hits:. Self-seeded salpiglossis - favourite of mine. Pansies and sweet pea hiding in the iris leaves. Larkspur - an old-fashion plant and another favourite. And so on that happy note, I headed east and south to the Crowsnest Pass via the Columbia Valley. Columbia Lake, looking to the southeast. I spent...

Gathering Loose Threads: March 2015
http://gathering-loose-threads.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 8, 2015. Thursday, March 5, 2015 was World Book Day. Let us raise a glass to toast The Book. I celebrated World Book Day by completing 'The Paris Wife' by Paula McLain, an excellent story about Ernest Hemingway's first wife, Hadley Richardson. Music books, road atlases and stuff that needs a temporary home. I'm now reading (among other things) 'The Curse of the Wendigo', a young adult horror story about the Cree boogie-man, the wending, set in 1890s Kenora, ON country. Great fun. I like bei...
