Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Say Hello, Wave Goodbye. Something of a more personal note: Brett Favre has retired. I recall days when he was not the QB of the Green Bay Packers. I remember the days of bad football and loathing "Da Bears". Back when Jackie was the only guy who could score and mullets were still cool. But the time has come. So I've heard (or read) through the grapevine that today is Love Your Body Day. And I just wanted to come here and say that I LOVE MY BODY. I love how even though sometimes I worry that my lips are too small, I can break them into a big wide bright smile. New-ier and improve-ier for 2007. Morning schedule was all screwed up with a prenatal appt. 19 weeks, everything looks good. Breakfast" #1: macadamia nuts, blackberries, coffee w coconut milk. Breakfast" #2: cabbage "ceviche" (chopped veggies w shrimp and lime - SUPER yummy, will make again). Lunch: Salad, grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, onion, bacon-as-condiment :). New-ier and improve-ier for 2007. The air was redolent with family vacations, summertime, cleanliness. . . chlorine. The light shimmered, almost in time with the peaceful sounds - a low burble punctuated with an occasional ker-splish. I felt supported and graceful and whole as I eased through the water.
