Guzzi “Roper” Plate. I finally got around to installing my Roper plate this morning. So easy I didn’t bother to take pictures. For reference there is a very good writeup at V11LeMans.com. Since I had the sump apart I was able to inspect the bottom end and everything looked very clean. The post instlal test ride showed that I no longer get oil pressure lights under heavy acceleration. Finding Shorts on a distributed circuit. For the last few months the instrument lights in the M3 have been flickering when I hit bumps. Eventually they completely failed. This is how I found the fault:. I assume basic electrical knowledge, which means you have a meter that can read resistance and voltage and that you understand what “continuity” and “shorts” are. Converting the Moto Guzzi to an Electronic Speedometer. The electrical side was pretty straight forward, I added a wiring harness to get power from a hot fuze and splice into the tach signal wire. Overall that came out very clean. One concession to reality I had to make was that to clear the throttle linkage I had to cut down the connector on the sender unit and connect wires directly to the pins on the sender.
