Volunteers team with Park staff for our 3rd annual Picacho Earth Day. The project this year was the Stamp Mill Trail. The trail is one of the most popular in the Park and was seriously in need of some rehab. The work went quickly with so many friends on hand…over 35 volunteers and staff participated. Once again, we were done in just a few hours with a lot accomplished. Just in time for a nice lunch, sponsored by . Thanks to all who participated!

Friends4Picacho supporters joined Picacho SRA staff to celebrate Earth Day on April 22, 2012. Due to record setting temperatures the day before, the decision was made to start early: 6:00 am to be exact. The energetic group planted close to 200 native mesquite trees in the main loop of the campground. Irrigation lines and emitters were added to each tree to give them the best chance for survival. Friends4Picacho, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting.
