O Come Emmanuel! – The Fox Farm
https://foxfarm6.wordpress.com/2014/09/28/ocomeemmanuel
Food, Projects and a warped sense of humor. September 28, 2014. December 11, 2014. Santa’s busy in his workshop this year – holy sawdust storm, batman. I’m a little disturbed at this Christmas thing – I can’t post anything I’m working on because they’re surprises. I’m also so busy I can’t stop to take pictures of everything. More to come in January! My Therapy – Stripping away Years of Neglect and Bad Decisions – The Fox Farm Workshop
https://foxfarmworkshop.wordpress.com/2014/08/10/my-therapy-stripping-away-years-of-neglect-and-bad-decisions
The Fox Farm Workshop. What are we building now? My Therapy – Stripping away Years of Neglect and Bad Decisions. August 10, 2014. August 10, 2014. You never know what will touch people. When we lost my mom in 2000, my eldest son was 15. When asked if there was anything of Grandma’s that he wanted to keep, he said he wanted her swing. A rough cedar swing that she had for years. It sat in the backyard of her house, where we used to barbecue and picnic with her. This year my eldest son, after 4 years of col...

Canned Apples | The Fox Farm Gardens
https://foxfarmgardens.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/canned-apples
The Fox Farm Gardens. The garden is calling! September 21, 2014. September 28, 2014. Update: 9/28 – This recipe resulted in smushy apples, so unless you WANT jars of pretty apples on your shelves that give the promise of apple pie filling but are, in fact, applesauce, don’t use this. 😦. I used Golden Delicious apples. You can choose your own, but make sure they’re crisp and at least slightly tart. 1/2 peck of Golden Delicious apples (mine were small – 22 of them). 4 cups apple cider. 1/2 cup lemon juice.
Little Tykes and the constant shift – The Fox Farm Workshop

The Fox Farm Workshop. What are we building now? Little Tykes and the constant shift. February 1, 2016. February 1, 2016. We’re so happy to announce we’ve had a second grandbaby! Adelaide Rose is her name and she’s just precious. Grandson #1, Silas Jon, has getting so big he’s in a toddler bed now, and so its time to rev up the power tools and start rethinking the guest room. And put up a snazzy Mickey Mouse bed for Silas Jon. And I thought I was out of the kid business! More fun to come! Notify me of ne...

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – The Fox Farm Workshop
https://foxfarmworkshop.wordpress.com/2014/12/11/its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like-christmas
The Fox Farm Workshop. What are we building now? It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. December 11, 2014. December 11, 2014. Do not open until Christmas! Secrecy and sheer volume of work leaves me with no time to properly document what Santa is doing in his shop right now. I do have a little I can share, though, since some of my presents have been distributed. I traced the cookie cutters onto some old pallet wood and cut them out on the scroll saw. I was going to distress them, so I sanded the...
The Never-ending Journey to Tomato Sauce | The Fox Farm Gardens
https://foxfarmgardens.wordpress.com/2014/08/17/the-never-ending-journey-to-tomato-sauce
The Fox Farm Gardens. The garden is calling! The Never-ending Journey to Tomato Sauce. August 17, 2014. September 10, 2015. I switched to dried marjoram, oregano and granulated garlic – just too difficult not to burn the fresh herbs. I think I’ve got it now. Wash, cut and de-seed the tomatoes. Season with dried Marjoram, Oregano, and granulated Garlic. Roast on grill or in oven for 30 minutes. Run them through the food mill. Process in pressure canner for 25 minutes. Basic lack of trust for humankind?
