Travel Journal in progress. Jun 30th, 2010 at 9:30 PM. Since I am going to Japan again (some would see it as again, others as 'only' the third time) I thought I'd make a brand new set of journal entries about it on my very unused Foam Club account. Rejoice! One of these days, I will have to make a phone call to Japan Airlines, because since not-so-long they offer a free (! Look here- Suica N'EX. Next time: preparing 'stuff to do'. Or something like that (because tight schedules are NOT my cup of tea).

Are bishounen really bishounen? Jun 26th, 2009 at 2:38 PM. While writing my MA thesis on gender in manga, I was sure I would have to include 'bishounen' somewhere. Bishounen are what everything's about in shoujo and BL, bishounen are everywhere! But when taking a look at the definition most researchers give, I wondered if there aren't two types of 'bishies'. Are they still bishounen? But they may not be as androgynously 'pretty' as the typical bishounen. So what do we do now? View my Tags page.
