Mrs Flint was converted at an early age and was a worthy and active member of the M. E. church up to the time of her death. The funeral services were held, at the M. E. church by Rev. H. H. Bowen, Monday afternoon, May 11, and the remains laid to rest beside her husband in Glen Elder cemetary. Dearest Mother, she has left us,. And her loss we deeply feel.

To John and Margaret B (SMELSER) MARLIN. Margaret was about two years old when her father died in the spring of 1860. Her mother married a Mr. Crews/Cruse. They had a daughter Adelphia A about 1863 in Iowa. It appears he died. When Margaret's Aunt Ella Bray heard of this, she wrote for her mother to come live with her, which she did.

I questioned some research I did several years ago, that someone else has stated as fact. Because I still question that information, I'll not include it here. Census records for 1880 list Samuel's father as born in Ireland and mother in New Jersey. Samuel supported his family as a farmer. Samuel died in August 1882 in Jasper County. Column for more people.
