Archive for 'artistic inspirations'. Interviewed by Giorgio Vaselli of the Energy Art Movement. January 8, 2009. I was recently interviewed by Giorgio Vaselli, head of the fledgling Energy Art Movement, whom i’ve been in contact with about joining as I feel a huge resonance with their vision. Here’s a description from their site:. Some paintings vibrate with energy. Impressionists like Monet tried to capture light. Futurists like Boccioni portrayed motion and […]. Written on June 5, 2008. It’s always inspiring to find such a successful artist creating what I’ve come to term ‘process based’ works. I’m really enchanted by Ted Zourntos’. Style and the compositions he is able to create. I find myself wishing I was in Toronto so that I could take a class or two with him. He’s got an upcoming show at the Sloan Fine Art Gallery. In new york. If you’re in the area definitely go check it out. Thanks once again to Kirsten Anderson over at Right some Good.

Through another’s eyes…. Written on April 19, 2008. I had the opportunity to paint again last weekend, hunched in the garage over my paint and tiles as the sun shone down outside. It’s a funny association, but when the sun is shining I feel the call to paint. I’m sure it’s a remnant of when I didn’t have proper lights and relied on sunny days off to get the proper lighting I need. Filed in: new work. Darren Waterston’s work. Laquo; Launching my new site…. Launching my new site…. April 3, 2008. This site has been in my mind for quite some time, but only recently have I come across the tools that I needed to make it happen. I’m really excited by the new gallery, and I’m hoping that people like the new form and format. A number of people in the past have expressed interest in the painting style that I’ve used in my divine reflections. In the meantime, head on over to the gallery. And let me know what you think….
