A Modern Exploration of Literature. Why Do We Blog? Gatsby’s Tea Party Assigned. April 15, 2008. I feel that a very significant part of the story is when Daisy is invited over to Nick’s cottage for tea. This is the point in the novel when Gatsby tries to recreate where he was five years ago. A happier time, before he went into the military. Gatsby wants things to be just how they were before he left. Gatsby takes great comfort in seeing Daisy’s porch light on every night. It makes him feel close to her.

Bigdog and Hammers View of Media by Gabe C

Bigdog and Hammers View of Media by Gabe C. Saturday, May 22, 2010. So in the end. The media, the rapid and efficient information highway is an outstanding representation of American belief in the pursuit of happiness. We Americans tend to take what we see and hear as reality, and with it being everywhere you go it is hard to escape it. Businesses and politicians tend to use this to their advantage to take over by telling us what we should think is right when in reality it isn’t. Friday, May 21, 2010.
