a walk in our shoes: Interview with Brady on his 5th birthday
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2015/08/interview-with-brady-on-his-5th-birthday.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. Interview with Brady on his 5th birthday. Our youngest is now 5 years old, and I can still clearly remember every detail of the day he was born. He was only our only one born here in Mexico and while things are done differently at times, it went very well overall and we like having a little Mexican in our family. Even though he doesn't look like one, but it made it nice and easy to find him in the hospital nursery! How old are you now? Four, I mean five! Why do you like being 5?

a walk in our shoes: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder: a cliché or....?
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2015/05/beauty-is-in-eye-of-beholder-cliche-or.html
Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder: a cliché or? This week has been full of "despedidas"! Which means, we have been busy saying good-byes, as this weekend we are leaving to go up north for our furlough time in Canada. In my mom/woman's world, that means a lot of parties and breakfasts. As you probably already know from reading my blog! Yesterday morning I had a breakfast with a group of friends from here in our neighborhood. At the restaurant this morning. In between all that, ...

a walk in our shoes: no more projects!
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2010/09/no-more-projects.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. This past week I've been thinking about some things. About the way I use my time, or more importantly,. The way I don't give enough time to my boys. In all my thinking about and my doing these things.the boys are left being told to go play by themselves and to stop fighting. Nope Do I need to dust my dresser every week? Nope As long as my house is mostly clean I won't go bonkers and that'll give me more time to focus on our family and on our ministry. Travis, Rosey and Zipporah.

a walk in our shoes: A visit from our Mission Board & Dad
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-visit-from-our-mission-board-dad.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. A visit from our Mission Board and Dad. This past week we had my dad here, our Foreign Secretary (in charge of overseas missions), as well as two others from our Mission Board and head office in Canada - Tim and Beth. It was a good week overall with several meetings as well as showing them a bit of the ministries that we are involved in, and they were able to meet the cell groups and join them for Bible studies. For one, this is a modern city of 7 million people! So it is always ...

a walk in our shoes: We're coming for you, Canada!
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2015/05/were-coming-for-you-canada.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. We're coming for you, Canada! Can you believe that in just a month we will be on Canadian soil? After having been on American soil for 3 days. And Mexican for one day. We will be taking our furlough (home assignment) for the months of June and July and we hope to see many of you while we are there! A lot of what we will be doing is re-connecting with several of our EMC churches. And just spend that time re-connecting and maybe meeting you for the first time. That time we flew though,...

a walk in our shoes: Helping a 7 year old as he learns to say good-bye
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2014/06/helping-7-year-old-as-he-learns-to-say.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Helping a 7 year old as he learns to say good-bye. Last night I had an experience with Carter that made me realize we are now parenting "older" children. He's only 7, but until now, all of our moving around and having to say good-bye to many, many people has not really affected our kids. They are sad when people leave and are super excited when visitors come, but it has been part of the flow of their lives. In Carter's short 7 years of life, he has lived in Canada for 1 1/2 years...

a walk in our shoes: along the trail
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2009/10/along-trail.html
Tuesday, October 6, 2009. For an introduction and explanation of the "along the trail" series, go HERE. When you think of shopping Mexico, a picture of an outdoor market might likely come to your mind. Something like this. We visited one market here in Delicias a couple of weeks ago, and there you find a little bit of everything. Food, toys, shoes, clothing, pottery, parakeets, etc. The picture below shoes a shop of typical Mexican pottery. This picture turned out huge. shoe stores are abundant! Yesterda...

a walk in our shoes: About Us
http://a-walk-in-our-shoes.blogspot.com/2008/12/our-shoes.html
Thursday, December 4, 2008. Shall I start at the very beginning of "Us"? Dallas and I grew up in different countries for the first 12 yrs of our life. He grew up as a farmer's son in Manitoba, Canada and I grew up as a missionary's daughter in Paraguay, South America. When I was 12 my family moved back to Canada and there I really began to learn Canadian culture. What a stretch! Dallas and I met. In our 12 yrs of marriage, we have. Lived in 3 different countries. In 5 different cities. Had 3 little boys.
