Music, Life, and Everything In-Between. Friday, November 11, 2005. Juliet Turned Heads in Taunton. Juliet Turner, who was the winner of the 2005 Irish Meteor Music Award for "Best Female Performer, visited Taunton last night. One of only 2 UK venues (more in the new year) to promote her new. She had played at this venue before, but due to my ignorance it had been missed by this Blogger. Should be no worries this time. Given plenty of notice, and thanks to. I felt I was pretty in tune with her music.

Music, Life, and Everything In-Between. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Ms McEvoy came to Taunton. After years of badgering her, as regular readers will know, I've always had to travel to see this talented lass. Finally played in my home town on 17 May, ably supported by. They were playing at the Brewhouse Theatre as part of the Spring Folk series. We all met up outside on a lovely spring evening, then made our way in to the auditorium for a 7:45 start. Didn't like you anyway'. So over to you Pete . Walking in fr...

Singer/songwriters you'll hear on The Online Folk Festival: Freeform folkradio for the masses
http://www.onlinefolkfestival.com/singsong.html
Just like a real folk festival, but without all the sweaty people and the overpriced vegetarian food. Festival Radio on Myspace.com. They do what they do. Some are folk, some country, some hard to classify. They sing, they write, and you'll hear them all on Festival Radio. Literate, funny singer/songwriter from Connecticut. Also maintains great folk music links site, Balladtree.com. Best singer/songwriter about baseball, ever. Writes some pretty good songs about other topics, too. Hoboken-based singer/so...

Graham's Shed Extension: February 2014
http://grahamashmore.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 26, 2014. ELEANOR McEVOY , Alexander's, Chester - Thursday 6th February 2014. As one of the first through the door at Alexander’s at around 7:30pm on a soggy February night, you are greeted by Holly (the boss), a few friendly members of staff, around half a dozen diners, my regular seat and an empty stage. There’s not a great deal to do whilst waiting patiently for the last of the diners to hand their well licked dessert spoon to the waitress,. Her musical genre refuses to be pigeon h...

Music, Life, and Everything In-Between. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Bob Dylan - Judas or A God. How does it feel. To be on your own. With no direction home. Like a complete unknown. Like a rolling stone. O lets be honest. I have seen Bob Dylan a couple of times within the last 10 years. Firstly at the Phoenix Festival and also at Glastonbury. It has to be said, that on both occasions as a live performer, he has been a big disappointment. What an excellent film. Nice 'n' cheap for us UK buyers). Ashmore...

Saturday, October 08, 2011. Eleanor's Alone Tour isn't spent in solitude. Friday 7th October 2011. The Bury Met chooses its artistes carefully. So I doubt that there was little hesitation in giving an affirmative answer when Eleanor McEvoy expressed a wish to play then venue. Six months earlier Eleanor marked her Met debut when she shared the bill with Dave Rotheray. However, there were one or two empty seats on that occasion. First middle bit to come). Got the audience singing the chorus. Eleanors Alone...

Graham's Shed Extension: 50 miles to see a support act ? A blonde moment maybe !
http://grahamashmore.blogspot.com/2011/03/50-miles-to-see-support-act-blonde.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. 50 miles to see a support act? A blonde moment maybe! Wednesday 23rd March 2011. A couple of months before the official release in September 2010. I was really into it within days of receipt but I had to put it down for a while because I was focussing my attention on another Dublin singer/songwriter who I believe deserves similar public recognition. Click here if you're curious. Guess what for openers? I was absolutely mesmerised with the guitar and percussion looping on her del...
