Thursday, November 29, 2007. BEER SNACK - LE POTTEKEIS. I've been to Belgium before and been through my fair share of beer pubs and pub snacks, but I never ran into this particular pub delicacy, Pottekeis. So, my interest was piqued when I saw it on Glorious Food and Wine. Luckily, I was going to a friend's house for a lite meal and needed to bring something along with a fantastic bottle of Avec Les Bon Voeux. Was the easy part, but the fromage de Bruxelles. 1 Munster Alsace finished with Gewurztraminer ...

add an egg: GARDEN PARTY CONTINUED - ANAHEIM CHILES
http://www.addanegg.com/2008/11/garden-party-continued-anaheim-chiles.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. GARDEN PARTY CONTINUED - ANAHEIM CHILES. Ah to continue. What to do with unending bushels of green chiles. There are many choices. Roast them. Dry them. Eat them fresh with eggs and chorizo. Put them on sandwiches. Make a stew. We did all of the above and still can't keep up with them. One of my favorite things is green chile stew. My wife and I have good friends who live in Albuquerque. Which is the home of green chile. I crave all of their chile-laden foods, carne adovada.

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Say My Name, Say My Name. Been trying to come up with a name for the new portastatic album which'll be out this fall, let me tell you the names ain't flowing too freely. the good ones anyway, but we do have a barrefull of duds. i won't share them all, but sufficeth to say that "Scotland Junket" and "Fish Feet" were discarded for being just too timely and too political. And of course Yo La Tengo. Posted by Mac at 4:13 PM. Monday, May 29, 2006. Hockey Night In Carolina Pt II. Game ...

Saturday, July 30, 2011. I just saw the documentary Beats, Rhymes and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest. And enjoyed it on about ten levels. The film thoroughly, humorously, and respectfully traces the history of this seminal Native Tongues group and its remarkable place in NYC hip-hop history. I was enthralled with the band footage, the New York footage, the interviews, Q-Tip (what a charmer! After the movie I came straight home and fired up the hi-fi. Here's one:. Thursday, July 21, 2011. Thursday, June 23, 2011. I adore this song. It prominently features an oboe and two striped shirts in the video. What's not to like? Speaking of unexpected accompanying instruments defining a song, this cover has been in my head for days. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. I'm so sorry for this. Sorry i missed your party. The dates of wrath.
