You know that feeling when you’re trying to explain something to someone, but you just can’t remember the word you’re thinking of? As a constantly evolving language, English should really include a word to describe this phenomenon as it seems to occur quite often (at least to me). The word I propose to describe this feeling is. It does sounds a little weird to say out loud at first, but I think this word wholly captures this feeling as the prefix pre means before and the ending part of the word. Would un...

But somehow I had let my roommate drag me to the edge of this terrifyingly tall cliffside. Just a few hours earlier I had been trying to avoid the unusually warm spring afternoon by watching a random Netflix show. Although I thought I escaped the oppressive heat of Texas weather, somehow it had followed me to the west coast. Why wasn’t back in my room watching Netflix? April 25, 2016.

When I have Fears That I May Cease to Be. When I have fears that I may cease to be. Before my pen has gleaned my teeming brain,. Before high-pilèd books, in charactery,. Hold like rich garners the full ripened grain;. When I behold, upon the night’s starred face,. Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance,. And think that I may never live to trace. Women Roles in Hamlet. The two female characters, Gertrude (the queen of Denmark) and Ophelia (the daughter of the King’s advisor), stand out amongst the dominant male cast. When I first read this play,. I assumed Shakespeare was guilty of standard 17th century sexism since he portrayed these. Needs another man to feel secure in her image, despite the recent death of her husband. This indignity is exacerbated by her decision to marry not just any other man, but the brother of her deceased husband. As a w...

As many of you know, my name is Sydney Pham, and I am a graduating senior of the class of 2016. As I stand here today, alongside my fellow peers and in front of this respected audience,I feel very honored yet a little confused as to why I was selected to give the speech. Oftentimes theses speeches are full of insightful life advice, optimism for the future, and whatnot. May 15, 2016. Laquo; Previous Post. Next Post ». Leave a Reply x. Enter your comment here.
