Friday, February 14, 2014. This is why I hate Valentine's Day. I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day but it seems like we, as a society, have gone a little crazy over this "holiday." Being self employed doesn't allow for many vacation days so we decided to spend all our vacation money in our backyard where we can enjoy it any time we have a spare minute. Tuesday, May 07, 2013. I recently came across a quote that I really needed to hear. It said "For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace." I've been angry and lonely the past few months. And yesterday it seemed to hit me as to why. We didn't qualify for state funding. Despite the diagnosis, they didn't consider them sever enough to warrant intervention. Yesterday I learned that our insurance doesn't cover autism therapies. And that is when I got really angry. This made me cry!
