The kids had a great time cleaning out their pumpkins, creating their own designs, and even doing their own carving! Lindsey's favorite part was cleaning out the pumpkin guts! Wednesday, February 23, 2011. January–snow caves with the scouts. Yes, I am actually updating the blog monthly now! We’ll see how long it lasts. Anyway, it was a beautiful day when we took our 11 year old scouts over to Mount Hood to build snow caves. Brother Jentzsch built a fort next to a tree, and the rest of us just dug into the hill and built some pretty impressive caves. It was a practice to prepare the boys for the day when they actually sleep in one – a different experience altogether.

Dec 5, 2010. Doug and I went to Hawaii with some friends over the Thankgiving break. We were on the north shore of Oahu at Turtle Bay. It was sooo gorgeous and we had an amazing time relaxing by the beach. Here are some pictures. This was our hotel. James was unsure at first but he LOVED playing with the sand and running in the water. Poor Caroline. James obviously didn't know how to share :(. Some pretty views all around. We visited Matsumoto's to get their famous shaved ice. Anyone have any tips?

Saturday, January 28, 2012. One last post before I hit the sack. I know this blog is titled "our family," but it tends to just be about two little girls. next summer it'll involve the older 3 more since they'll be around more. my next posts will be about Maya's and Bryson's birthdays. And this one is for me (especially since I promised my babycenter weight loss group I'd blog about my journey! And if I can survive on that for five days, it'll prove to me I have the willpower to do better with my eating!

For both of us, getting up in the morning. That is a chore. Poor Jared has to do it at 5 on workdays. D - Dog's names: used to be Max. Good riddance. E - Essential to start your day: I'm not sure what this means. Extra sleep is good by either of us. F - Favorite color: me- purple. Jared- "green, I guess". G - Gold or Silver: silver or white gold.

All Because Two People Fell In Love". Tuesday, August 24, 2010. North Rim of the Grand Canyon. While most of Brandon's family was down we decided. Lorelei and John they are 5 days(? It was so amazing to sit in the chairs down there and just look out over the canyons. Sunday, August 22, 2010. While we were up there we of course had to ride the hourses. Jackson and Abagayle went out for a 10 - 15 min led ride in the woods. They were in heaven. Lorelei loved to ride with James! Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
