Rebecca's Research Blog: Cindy is Seeping into my Classroom Beyond Book Club

http://rebeccasresearchblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/cindy-is-seeping-into-my-classroom.html

A record of one teacher researcher's questions, problems, ideas, and adventures with students and book clubs. Friday, November 9, 2007. Cindy is Seeping into my Classroom Beyond Book Club. This evening I received the following e-mail from one of my students:. We should discuss this in class. I feel like we don't get enough oportunity. In school to talk about political stuff. Thinking can really get kids thinking and off their butt. It did for me. Also, here's the usury thing. The Merchant of Venice.

blogessor: April 2007

http://blogessor.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Hi, kiddies, guess who I am today: teacher or researcher or both? Wow, I have so. Much to say that I can't blog it all in one entry (SIDE NOTE: I'm trying to give myself permission to write shorter entries so that I'll post more regularly :). In fact, this entry started out as a comment on Rebecca's. Blog that was just going on far too long. Incidentally, you should go read that entry. Because it's a really good one. You manage the observant researcher with the dutiful teacher?

One quick-speaking, anxiety-ridden, coffee-avoiding, energy-having, sleep-lacking, job-loving teacher shares whatever it is he may know, may discover, and may realize in and out of the classroom. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Wow I'm still in shock. I'm actually sitting at my computer at school writing this post. My district FINALLY decided to unblock Blogger for educational purposes. Fast Talking Teacher: The Lost Curiosity

One quick-speaking, anxiety-ridden, coffee-avoiding, energy-having, sleep-lacking, job-loving teacher shares whatever it is he may know, may discover, and may realize in and out of the classroom. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. My favorite unit has begun. Evolution. Not because I have any desire to indoctrinate my kids or because I want to see them change their views. I couldn't care less. What I'm after is the debate, the desire to dig deeper into the depths of knowledge and the language behind it all. I love ...

Sunday, October 01, 2006. Please. Verify Me! I stumbled upon this on a teacher blog. I recently have started reading. The manager was shocked. Teaching English: An Inquiry Into Methods: May 2007

http://clarkecsunwpai.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

Teaching English: An Inquiry Into Methods. A teacher research web log by Jason Clarke, English teacher at FCHS in Fort Collins, CO. Friday, May 18, 2007. Well, we had our class blog. One other thing that I think is cool. There were four kids gone today, but unlike most class discussion days they don't have to miss out on what we did. I can just give them the web url and they can read the discussion and post their responses when they get back. Yet another benefit of this forum. Wednesday, May 16, 2007.

We begin our work with establishing the foundation for book clubs next week. I'm both excited and overwhelmed. Overwhelmed because I have too much to do and not enough hours in the day! A record of one teacher researcher's questions, problems, ideas, and adventures with students and book clubs. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. I have been busy with all sorts of meetings and commitments, so the blog has been on the back burner. I promised a quick update, so this will be quick. Great insight. This looks like one of those ancillary ideas that I've encountered myself. Kind of the hmmm, this isn't what I'm looking at but I can't drop it! CSU Writing Project

Tuesday, June 8, 2010. As participants in the CSU Writing Project "Teaching with Technology Institute" we spent this week looking at ways to bring technology into the classroom. The obvious question then, is why? What can we do with computers that we couldn't do with paper, pens, and a chalk board? What do we hope to accomplish with technology- it's not just a matter of getting students to use computers (most of them already do that on their own) so what is the point? What will be the biggest advantages?
