XBAPs and Bitmap Effects. Friday, May 29, 2009. It has be a while since I last put together an XBAP ( X. Plication), so the myriad of security hurdles that one has to overcome has long since vanished from my short term memory; to the point where I am having to re-learning things. Bugger, I hate that! NET4 and Memory Mapped Files. Thursday, June 11, 2009. I think I am really going to like .NET 4:. I certainly welcome this new addition to .NET, and for inter-process communication on a single machine, it’s fabulous. Move over. WCF and Named Pipes. Memory mapped files coming through. Memory mapped files will be my first choice for the scenarios that were previously reserved for. WCF and Named Pipes. Well, as soon as .NET 4 ships. With great power comes great responsibility. A word on Microsoft Oslo and installing MX files. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Each time I sit down to do something with Oslo. I look forward to it. However, I keep tripping over the same issue:. I never seem to be able to get the switch combination right the first time. And often not after the tenth time either! WPF unit testing trouble with Pack URIs. Monday, March 30, 2009. I have been busily coding WPF and Silverlight 2 for the last couple of months, and I will be for at least a few more weeks to come; however, during this development frenzy I ran into an issue with unit testing some new code. I also found an interesting solution to the problem, which required more than a simple query by way of Google. As opposed to Embedded Resource. Which in turn means each resource has to be referenced by using a Pack URI.
