Mom, Aunt Pat, Lindsey, Jordan and I all had a wonderful time visiting, playing games and of course eating a lot of great food. We missed you a lot, the day didn't seem the same without your jokes and insistence on watching a marathon of football! We are counting down the days until you are home again. Saturday, May 31, 2008. Well, everybody, I arrived at Camp Blackhorse yesterday morning after almost a week of moving. It's crazy- Kabul is only two hundred miles from Konduz, and yet I left on Sunday and didn't arrive until Friday. All in all, I believe, a great metaphor for Afghanistan: nothing is easy, and every single thing takes ten times the amount of time that it should.
