meditations of a blueberry: Am I Enough?
http://meditationsofablueberry.blogspot.com/2014/10/am-i-enough.html
Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Thursday, October 9, 2014. Sometimes I lay here in bed, basked in the sweet silence of a sleeping husband and baby, and reflect on my day. I try to be positive about it, but sometimes that negative mom guilt takes over and a parade of thoughts barrage into my brain. Did I yell too much? Did I feed them healthy enough food? Should we have gone outside more? Should I have played more with them? Was I present enough? Dear Old Lady ...

meditations of a blueberry: February 2015
http://meditationsofablueberry.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Parenting as an Introvert. Build time for rest and quiet into your routine. Even 5 minutes can help you keep calm in the midst of crazy. If you have to lock yourself in the bathroom, do it! If you have to throw on a TV show while you do it, that’s ok too. Taking care of yourself and taking this time will help you respond to your children. Stay active. Going for my almost daily walk helps me to refo...

meditations of a blueberry: Overdue and Tired
http://meditationsofablueberry.blogspot.com/2012/06/overdue-and-tired.html
Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Monday, June 18, 2012. I am now 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I am exhausted, sore and generally moody. The smallest things set me off into an angry, pregnancy rage. Thankfully, mrblueberry is understanding and has been taking it all in stride. It is so hard at this point to be positive. I am trying. I keep repeating those affirmations. When are you due? And when I tell them last week I get dumbfounded stares with responses like...

Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Friday, October 17, 2014. A Letter to the Old Lady at the Grocery Store. Dear Old Lady at the Grocery Store,. The other day I was out shopping alone with the baby while my husband was at home with my other two. As is my usual routine, I was wearing him. I saw you walking with your husband. I saw your head turn as my baby caught your eye. I heard you tell your husband, "Oh! Just wait a moment! From a Grateful Mama. Here is the re...

Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Sunday, August 3, 2014. Home Birth: Round Two. Loïc James, wrapped in a blanket from my own birth. It's been a little over five weeks since my life was changed yet again. On June 27, 2014 at 4:29 am, little L arrived in our bedroom! He weighed 10 lbs 10 oz, was 19.5 inches long, and had a 15.75 inch head circumference. 40 weeks 3 days. By 1 am, I immediately felt like I needed to push. But how could I push? Were not there yet!

meditations of a blueberry: A Letter to My Friends
http://meditationsofablueberry.blogspot.com/2013/09/a-letter-to-my-friends.html
Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Wednesday, September 4, 2013. A Letter to My Friends. Dear my pre-children friends,. I know what you might be thinking. I "asked" for this by having kids. And I suppose you're right. But that doesn't mean that I can't admit that it's hard. Because it is. Very. Harder than I ever imagined. Don't get me wrong. I love my kids very much. I wouldn't change my life for anything. It's still hard. Love your very tired friend,. Loïc Jame...

meditations of a blueberry: Seeing the Beauty in Imperfection

Meditations of a blueberry. Things I see, things I like, and things I think. Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Seeing the Beauty in Imperfection. Look at what you have done! Of course it is going to be forever changed! Recently, I participated in Snow Pea Portraits "Love Your Body" project. In response to momstown Edmonton's #bareyourbelly event. No, this body is not perfect. But it is mine. And because it is mine, it is just right. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What Others are Reading. When I was a lit...
