Elderly | Chalhoub Foundation

Skip directly to content. There is very little public funding dedicated to helping Lebanon’s elderly and there is no public institution dedicated to their care. The National Social Security Fund’s old-age benefits are grossly insufficient to support a comfortable life without supplemental income or family assistance. Those without families or means are left to fend for themselves without access to quality medical care or the dignity provided by other governments to the wisest among us.
