My learning log and blog for the Open College of Arts course the Art of Photography. Wednesday, 9 March 2011. Assignment - One Contrasts. For this assignment I decided to take the images for this assignment using a 100mm Macro lens mounted on my Canon 40D. This allowed me to look for contrasts at a small scale and focus on detail of objects whilst doing my best to remove background distractions; allowing the viewer to focus on the object of interest. 1 Sweet and sour. 2 Liquid and solid. 3 Hard and soft.

My first camera was a Zenit 35mm camera given to me at the age of 16 by my grandfather who introduced me to photography. I still have a Canon EOS 620 which I used up until I purchased my first digital camera around 2000. I am an active member of Malden Camera Club where I am currently Chairman. The London region of the RPS organised a workshop “Where to From L? 8221; on Friday 8 March lead by Will Cheung. The workshop was held in a small photographic studio/venue about 5mins from Greenwich station. BTW Will Cheung FRPS is Editor of the Advanced Photographer magazine. Which I also recommend. ２０１２年をふりかえって・・・。 12288;あっという間に２０１２年もおわり、２０１３年へと移り行きました。２０１２年度、理事長という大役を仰せつかり、最初は正直不安でいっぱいでしたが、メンバーのみなさんの助けをいただきまして、なんとか１年間理事長職を全うすることができました。本当にありがとうございました。 12288;そして、例会におきましても２０１２年度は新しいものを取り入れた形で行いました。ボウリング例会や家族例会など、近年では無い形での例会はある意味新鮮でした。これも例会というものを見つめ直す良い機会となったのではないでしょうか？ 12288;理事長の最大の仕事は次年度理事長を決めること、ということを先輩から教えていただきました。２０１３年度は田中 利男くんが理事長を務めることとなりました。２０１２年度同様、皆で力を合わせて理事長を盛り上げていっていただきたいと思います。 12288;２０１２年、１年間本当にたくさんの助けをいただきましてありがとうございました。定款上は総会まででということですが、年度が変わって一区切りとさせていただきます。 予定者会員会議所会議からは、田中理事長...
