A Craftload of Crafty: January 2009
http://craftload.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A Craftload of Crafty. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. So finally a post dedicated to all the craftiness of the fellow craft night cohort. I am so very excited about this one. There's so much damn good stuff you're gonna see here. ;-). The hat and scarf very handsomely modeled by Sir Tim was her very first knitting project - can you believe it? It turned out really great. Nice colors ta boot. The lovely blueish/purpleish (I think it's more of a true purple in person) is modeled by Ang's lovely mother. It ...

A Craftload of Crafty: Quilt - Part 1b and a pair of warmed hands
http://craftload.blogspot.com/2013/04/quilt-part-1b-and-pair-of-warmed-hands.html
A Craftload of Crafty. Saturday, April 27, 2013. Quilt - Part 1b and a pair of warmed hands. This is mostly a quilt update. Didn't seem right to call it part 2 when I'm still in the middle of the first of four major quilt-making steps: 1. Sewing quilt top; 2. Pinning quilt layers together; 3. Quilting (definitely the most time-intensive part); and 4. Binding the quilt. If he blended in a little better with the slow cooker he might have made the trip! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Craftload of Crafty: Aprons and Kitchen Spruciness - Part 1.
http://craftload.blogspot.com/2010/08/aprons-and-kitchen-spruciness-part-1.html
A Craftload of Crafty. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Aprons and Kitchen Spruciness - Part 1. The first part of 2010 has made this the year of the aprons for me. So fun! I've always wanted to make an apron and finally made the first apron from Anna Maria Horner's book, Seams to Me: 24 New Reasons to Love Sewing. The embroidered apron w. I've really enjoyed embroidery lately - love picking the bright, lively colors, love choosing a stitch for each segment. It's relaxing and allows for creativity - even when...

A Craftload of Crafty: January 2010
http://craftload.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A Craftload of Crafty. Friday, January 8, 2010. Baby gift and sister's bday. This blanket was made for the baby of an old, dear friend. Her baby was born in late July - very healthy and lovely. I loved this pattern. The edging is a worsted weight wool yarn - pretty standard spin with a gorgeous dye, but I can't recall the brand - picked it up at a yarn store, Broad Ripple Knits. If it wasn't so dang cold in the winter, it would make it on a list of cities where I think I could live. Cooking. Last sum...

Despair, Destruction & Doughnuts: I'm behind the bitch....
http://grendelson.blogspot.com/2008/09/im-behind-bitch.html
Despair, Destruction and Doughnuts. Mostly true tales from the dark underbelly of modern times. I pass these stories like large, jagged kidney stones through the irritated urethra of my consciousness. Ouch. Sunday, September 28, 2008. I'm behind the bitch. Finally.my first dispatch from behind the bitch. The bitch has actually been here for quite a while. I bought her when we moved in. It was then that I realized I was in love. She was made for pain, she was made for death, she was made to foster hat...

Despair, Destruction & Doughnuts: Anything new makes me puke...
http://grendelson.blogspot.com/2008/10/anything-new-makes-me-puke.html
Despair, Destruction and Doughnuts. Mostly true tales from the dark underbelly of modern times. I pass these stories like large, jagged kidney stones through the irritated urethra of my consciousness. Ouch. Saturday, October 4, 2008. Anything new makes me puke. I'm sitting in the chair. I've got four comics in my lap and about 45 minutes until I'm ready to call it a night and head to bed. At the end of the show, I'm sad it's over. This sadness leads my mind to the other classic performers I love....And, ...

Despair, Destruction and Doughnuts. Mostly true tales from the dark underbelly of modern times. I pass these stories like large, jagged kidney stones through the irritated urethra of my consciousness. Ouch. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Something else no one wants to talk about. Seriously, I'm completely serious about the seriousness of this seriousity. The high cost of refrigerator repair has finally gotten out of hand. Yeah, we were given an estimate of $75. After the local yokel showed up, somehow...

Despair, Destruction & Doughnuts: Butterbeans and Longing
http://grendelson.blogspot.com/2008/09/butterbeans-and-longing.html
Despair, Destruction and Doughnuts. Mostly true tales from the dark underbelly of modern times. I pass these stories like large, jagged kidney stones through the irritated urethra of my consciousness. Ouch. Sunday, September 7, 2008. Last weekend, I saw a walking Butterbean marry a huge piece of cornbread. Don't believe me? I have pictures to prove it. How much do i have to pay to watch those two make out? September 7, 2008 at 7:48 AM. That totally made my day. THANK YOU. September 10, 2008 at 6:52 AM.
