Progress in the making…. Accomplishing the list one day at a time. January 1, 2009 in 101 in 1001 list. I first heard about this from my dear friend Erica. And thought it was pretty fun! I have more friends who have also now written lists and I decided to try it out myself. This is a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. Some of them are more strictly measurable, while others are to complete sometime during the 1001 days. I’m excited to get started! 1 Watch all 3 Godfather movies. 3 Write 3 poems. 28 Wa...

Progress in the making…. Accomplishing the list one day at a time. May 18, 2011 in Uncategorized. We have been in Colorado Springs for a month and I have had lots of questions rolling around in my mind and heart during this time – most of them end up being directed towards God. Of course, He is the best One to ask and the only One who is big enough to help carry my burdens and emotions. Why won’t someone hire me? When will I make friends? Which church should we choose? Is this just wasted time? Oh, Carol...

Progress in the making…. Accomplishing the list one day at a time. 32 – take a Christian financial course. March 2, 2011 in Uncategorized. Last month Jeremiah and I took the Good $ense Budget Course. This was the first time that a Good $ense class was offered at E-Free that I could attend and I’m so glad that we got to go. It was just 2 hours for three Thursday nights. We talked about everything – giving, savings, debt, spending, different types of budgets, buying a home, etc. Cindy O's Sip of Tea. Notif...

November 8, 2009 in Uncategorized. That’s what Harvey is. An imaginary 6 feet 3 and a half inches tall white rabbit. Technically he’s a pooka. And he’s Elwood Dowd’s best friend. I saw the play “Harvey” while in high school and really enjoyed it. I was glad to see it on the AFI top 100 films. So, is Elwood dangerously crazy or not? Jenni...

Progress in the making…. Accomplishing the list one day at a time. June 8, 2011 in Uncategorized. But, for me, a hug is worth a lot. Receiving or giving. And I miss them. I hug my hubby all the time … cling to him sometimes. And often he just laughs and shakes his head after two or three hugs in a row. And it is great, but I really miss hugging friends. Sunday, December 29, 2013. ArtsAlive is starting up. So, I mentioned before that I was hoping to start teaching some art classes this next semester. Well, after many, many (too many) hours brainstorming, planning, and putting together a website, I am excited to present to you. Where creativity comes to life. I swing back and forth between being super excited and confident to being terrified and certain that no-one will sign up. It's a big leap for me, and full of much vulnerability, but here we go. You'r...
Crestone Home: November 2009
http://crestonehome.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 1, 2009. Sorry, we haven't posted for a couple months. Life is kind of starting to slow down. With the move and trying to get settled for the housewarming party, it was very busy for a while. The house is really starting to feel like home, and we love it! After living in a small apartment for a year, some extra space is so great. Welcome to the Wiltz's. Notice the fall wreath on the door that my talented and thoughtful sister made. :) ). Monday, March 28, 2011. I was alone with the 3 kids for the first half of Spring Break while Robbie took students to a retreat in Colorado- and we survived! And even had lots of fun! After Rob got home, we decided to take the kids on an overnight trip to Salina. We met up with Rob's parents and his sister's family for a little mini-vacation-it was a blast and we totally wore the kids out! Sarah was having fun taking pics with Grace. This was the best shot she got. This never gets old. We actually play a ...

Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Member of the Wiltz. Mix Worn out after a busy day. Right after coming home from the pet store, before we took the adorable little bow out. Jeremy could hardly stand it. Boy dogs don't wear bows, apparently. Now, if we can just teach him that outside is the place to relieve himself, we will all be much happier. Story and an update on our life later. Crestone Home: We Made It!!!
http://crestonehome.blogspot.com/2010/04/we-made-it.html
Tuesday, April 13, 2010. We finished the race, and we didn't even get last. The verdict is still out on whether I will ever do another one, maybe if I get this foot thing figured out.Jeremy says he is going to do a full marathon sometime. I can't imagine running 2x the distance we did! It gives me 100x more respect for marathon runners! Our final time was 2:23:55. Jeremy even let me cross the finish line first so I beat him by a second. What a guy! Other than some minor details. April 14, 2010 at 6:01 AM.

About - Carolyn Grace
Artist and Historical Preservationist. My portfolio is entitled. My job as an artist is to make people look at the ordinary a little harder; to see beauty in what others might not see. Discarded, distorted, and carved-up elements are really looking for someone to pay attention to; for someone to see the value in them, even if they no longer serve a purpose. And that, my friends, takes courage. In Florence, Italy. Miss Grace was awarded a scholarship to study art at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Progress in the making…. Accomplishing the list one day at a time. July 2, 2012 in Uncategorized. J and I were driving back from a day in Denver on Saturday, June 23rd. We were about 40 minutes away when we began seeing a smoke cloud. We saw people’s Facebook posts that a wildfire had begun in Waldo Canyon, close to Colorado Springs. I took this picture when we were about 20 minutes from home, around 4:45pm. Leaving the dentist, I could see that smoke was very dark on the west side, where we lived. I...

Opens March 2, 5-8pm and runs through April 1, 2017 at Shift Gallery, Seattle. In her newest show, Carolyn Gracz combines elements of monoprint, etching and collage in her work, tiny in individual scale, yet full of detail and open to viewer interpretation. Gracz studies the intersection of ancient and modern marks made by man and nature as her work progresses. This particular set of prints is inspired by Ireland, where the ancient still has it's firm grip, even as modernity intrudes.
