The King’s investigation of rural fire service in HRM is based on a detailed analysis of data from the region’s emergency response calls database of fire calls. The choice of time from call to arrival was chosen because this reflects the experience of someone who’s property is on fire; they are concerned about the total time it takes the system to get a fire truck on scene.
